Safe Nature experience for Family with kids - Gabriel and his staff show tremendous pride in their horses and the history of the area. The pick-up from our hotel was on time and a short drive to the drop-off point. It was fairly muddy due to rain but it wasn't a problem for the tour experience. The horses were very gentle and well trained. Gabriel's initially had staff escort our kids (10/12) but once they got confident they let them ride on their own. Peaceful, beautiful trails away from the busy city. Then the archeological stops. Gabriel also allowed us to spend time at the Llama ranch instead of another site. Very fun and educational. We had some rain but we came prepared with Raincoats and rolled with it in good spirits. Would 100% do this tour again.

Good - Good horses, you can go trotter and gallop if you want in some places. The route is more about visiting archeological places than riding. The guide (English speaking) is interesting. Good option for light riding and visiting 4 Inca places in a few hours.

Breathtaking views and history - Gabriel and Sergio were wonderful and welcoming. Beautiful horseback ride to four different Inca sites. These Peruvian parcel horses were much more comfortable than previous i have ridden if you havenā€™t been horseback in awhile and the stops made for perfect breaks. Both gentleman were very knowledgeable about the area and were able to share so much history and teach us about the local trees and flowers. We even got to stop and feed alpacas, llamas and vicuƱas which was incredible. I canā€™t say enough good things about this tourā€¦ wish I couldā€™ve stayed longer!! (Bring cash for your Tourism ticket if you donā€™t already have it)

Wouldnā€™t recommend alone! - A very weird/uncomfortable experience. Picked up in a car and guide seemed pleasant although I was concerned I was the only tourist. When arrived at the ranch/field, I was left alone with no context other than the instruction to ā€œwait a minuteā€, Gabriel then proceeded to get in the car to drop off the previous tourists and leave me alone with the gentleman in charge of looking after the horses who didnā€™t speak English. I was given the horse to hold (having not ridden in years) and left unattended - completely out my comfort zone. No explanation he turned up 20 mins later and instructed me to get on. I turn around and he was urinating in the bush/taking a while to get on the horse, this seemed incredibly odd/rude. Made no effort to be friendly despite me asking if he was okay (in the car he was very nice and made me relaxed). We rode in silence/I was given no instruction how to ride! I am a confident solo traveler but wow this was uncomfortable and incredibly sinister. I asked at the first stop if we could return and said the horses werenā€™t for me as the whole situation was incredibly uncomfortable and felt somewhat dangerous. He sensed I was uncomfortable and then proceeded to tell me how to steer/stop the horse (something I shouldnā€™t have had to ask to do!) I cut the tour short and Gabriel got me a taxi back. I will note he was very accommodating when I made it clear I wanted to leave but I canā€™t say it was a good trip. A very expensive and uncomfortable afternoon, just glad I was able to ask to end it when I did! If in a group the atmosphere may have been better but being left alone and instructionless at the beginning was a big mistake, and the urination just felt very unpleasant. I was quite shaken/overjoyed to leave.
