Amazing Icelandic Horses - We loved riding Icelandic horses with Deacon at Stable Stop! It was a highlight of our trip to Iceland. We enjoyed trying the various gaits, and appreciated the helpful directions from the riding staff.

Beautiful views, sweet animals - We had the best time with Berber on our 1.5 hour tour! The scenery was beautiful and the horses (Gunnvör and Leikur) were kind and patient. We were both first time riders and felt safe and secure the entire time. There was a bit of a mix up with dates with the owner and we had paid for transportation to and from the stable, but had to take a taxi to the stable instead. The owner apologized profusely and made sure we made it back to the ship on time. Mistakes happen! We had an amazing time and would recommend it to anyone we know traveling to Iceland.

Friendly and flexible people! - During our wonderful travel through Iceland, I felt it was a must to experience this overwelming nature on the back of an Icelandic horse! Because of unexpected snowfall we had to reschedule our appointment. This was no problem at all! It was a long time ago since I had been riding but Anna was very comforting. I enjoyed the beautiful ride! During the ride the communication was very good and Anna gave some usefull tips. During the 1 1/2 hour tour, there was enough time to enjoy the Tölt. Very special! Lovely people and very friendly horses. Love to come back sometimes.

Best tour EVER! - This was the most incredible ride. We are experienced riders and we had a wonderful guide Anna Marie - We got to trot and gallop - the horses were exceptional - so comfortable and well behaved - a dream to ride , the scenery was magical - The only complaint is the ride was too short (I could have ridden for hours rather than the 1.5 hours scheduled.) Stable Stop Iceland was so accommodating - they picked us up and brought us back to the port. We highly recommend this tour. Five Stars +

A magical day! - A most magical day! Our two women guides made our day so special! The weather cooperated & to top it off they had made homemade “happy marriage cake” as a snack at the end. Best day of our whole trip!

Awesome views and friendly people! - The view was awesome. The people were so helpful and friendly. They even invited us in for coffee and snacks afterwards. I was never in a horse before and they we so understanding and patient with me. Would definitely recommend this tour. What a great experience!

Most picturesque place on earth. - Iceland as a whole is a great country. Landscape is picturesque with cascading waterfalls, boiling springs, hot springs, geysers, glaciers as well as land glaciers where you can go into ice caves. The world has only one volcano where you’re able to be dropped down into and that is in Iceland. Being dropped down nearly 400’ into that volcano and walking around at the bottom so was one of my favorite excursions. Taking a helicopter ride over the year 21, 22, 23 volcanoes was also an amazing experience. Visiting the hot spring cave that Jon Snow & Igrette of Game of Thrones was briefly filmed in was also an excellent choice. The privacy at Hvammsvik hot springs along with a cold ocean plunge is a must stop as well. There are just too many places to list. Iceland is a place that you have to witness to appreciate the true beauty. Horses and sheep cover the landscape as you travel along the country on Ring rd. horse population is something like a ratio of 1:4 residents. And sheep, you’ll be amazed at how many times you see a group of three sheep gathered together. So many times that you’ll wonder why. Lol I would recommend no less than 10 days, more of you have the time and money. Iceland isn’t cheap but I’ll tell you it’s worth every penny. Did I mention the food? Fresh and delicious, and expensive. But we only live once on this earth so just do it. Visit Iceland and live to tell about it.

Overall good time - Very friendly and accommodating staff for our group of six. Had a good time. The only negative was in the description of the tour. It said horseback riding in the mountains of northern Iceland. We rode up and back a dirt and gravel road with a view of the mountains. A touch misleading.
