Highlights
  • Pyramids of Giza - The pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx are among the most popular tourist destinations in the world, and indeed already were even in Roman times. Each of these spectacular structures served as the final resting place of a king of the 4th Dynasty (c.2613–2494 BC). The Great Pyramid of Giza was built for king Khufu (c.2589–2566 BC), and the other two for Khafre and Menkaure, his son and grandson. Khufu’s pyramid is both the oldest and largest of the three, and the first building to exceed it in height would not be built for another 3,800 years!

  • The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities - Located in the heart of Cairo, the Egyptian Museum is the Middle East’s oldest archaeological museum and one of Egypt’s most popular touristic destinations. The museum houses a vast collection of ancient Egyptian antiquities in its unique neo-classical building, spanning from the Predynastic period to the Greco-Roman period.

  • Great Sphinx of Giza - Colossal statues are one of the hallmarks of ancient Egyptian civilization, and the Great Sphinx of Giza is the most famous. It was carved directly out of the bedrock during the 4th Dynasty (c.2613–2494 BC), which also makes it the oldest. Ancient Egyptian sphinxes represented the king with the body of a lion, in a clear demonstration of his power.

Cairo excursion with Egyptologists - The trip was perfectly organized, everything just worked. We are tourism professionals ourselves and appreciate this great service. Khaled Omar, our tour guide, a trained Egyptologist and Germanist, had impressive knowledge that he imparted to us in a very simple way at every corner in Cairo and Giza. With his witty and friendly manner, he led us from ancient times to modern Egypt. We can only warmly recommend him.

Day trip from Hurghada to Cairo by plane - We booked from Germany. Everything worked well and quickly. Any concerns that one might have had (paying money in advance, contact via WhatsApp...) were unfounded. The trip took place and the organization went very well and smoothly. It was wonderful and a great experience in Cairo. Everything was fulfilled as stated in the advance information. Our German-speaking tour guide Sharif was sensational. Knowledgeable, humorous, caring... absolutely great. We felt very well looked after by "Egypt-Booking".

Very well organized excursion - absolutely inexpensive! - We were picked up early at 4 a.m. from our hotel in Hurghada and driven straight to the airport by the very nice drivers. With the flight details and instructions we were given in the car, it was easy to pick up the flight tickets at the counter and then we went straight to Cairo on a small plane. The flight was very pleasant, small snacks were even distributed and everything went smoothly. When we arrived in Cairo, we were picked up by the driver who would take us from place to place for the rest of the day. It also turned out that we actually got an unbooked private tour that day. In front of the museum we met our tour guide Sharif, who gave us the tour in German and explained everything very well and understandably. His experience makes him a fantastic tour guide and we learned a lot in the museum, saw the pyramids and Sphinx of Giza and experienced a camel ride for €15/half hour. A boat tour on the Nile is also planned for €10 per person and lunch is a delicious buffet where you only have to pay for the drinks. We ended the day with a visit to the papyrus “museum” and to a Bedouin family who produce oils and perfumes. There you have the opportunity to buy the products in question. Overall, the day was really nice, the trip was absolutely worth it for the price and communication and booking went smoothly via WhatsApp. A little tip from us: Bring a lot of cash, especially small ones, as unfortunately we didn't have enough with us and towards the end we didn't have any cash left to give a tip to thank us for the great tour. In general, it is also an advantage to take a small amount of pocket money with you for smaller expenses, but the "real" shops also accept credit card payments.

Excellent Day Out - Went on a day trip from Hungarda to Cairo by plane with Akram from Hungarda on line tours, private tour, with guide Reeham and a driver, we picked itinerary, pyramids, sphinx, paper museum, hanging church, synagogue and lunch was included. Reeham knowledge was unbelievable, driver brilliant in a busy city, picked us up at 5.00am until 9.30 pm. Cost was only 200euros each and we didn’t pay until the day of tour. Will definitely use Akram again

Perfect best ever perfetto perfekt Ausgezeignet Formidable - Ausgezeignet! We a Dutch family with 2 teenagers had an amazing day. The tour in Cairo is in German but most Dutch can understand some and the price is far more important in my opinion as tours are mostly the same. But in this case both the Egyptian-German organization as the German and funny speaking guy Atef were really admirable. The price is the best you can find searching the internet. I paid 50% cash at the front gate of Titanic Palace and at first was having some doubts if they would show up, but they did and everything was smooth and on time. The tranfers, the flights, the museum, the Nile trip, the Pyramids and Sphinx and the Bedouins. Compliments complimenti complimenten! You desserve it really. Ere wie ere toekomt, gewoon gelijk doen!

Wonderful trip, not thrilled with the tourist traps - First let me note that normally when we book tours overseas, we pay online and receive a confirmation email to use as our "tickets". In this case, we arranged with Mahmoud via Whatsapp and paid him cash at the airport at our arrival. We were a bit skeptical that this was a scam but this company came through every time. We booked a trip for our family of 5 (kids ages 9, 13, 15) to Cairo by plane. The driver was on time at 4 AM at our hotel to take us to the airport. We felt a little lost as we met a gentleman who gave us a pass for the flight then we were on our own until we arrived in Cairo. We were provided with our own guide as the other couple on our transport spoke Dutch. He provided plentiful information and took us around to a variety of places in the city to sightsee. Once we entered the museum, (we paid for 4 adults, one child under 12 upon arrival in Egypt, yet the tour guide told my 15-year-old son to pretend he was 12 and handed him a child's ticket???) we expected to be able to tour the museum on our own but the tour guide took us to each point in the museum. The positive is that we learned new information, but we felt rushed and wanted to be able to enjoy the museum at our own pace as we are museum-touring people! Lunch was included, we had to pay for our drinks which were more expensive than our hotel, so you can tell this place was selected for tourists. After lunch, we were taken to a perfume location (tourist trap), which we were unaware was part of the tour. You could tell the salespeople were waiting for us, so I wonder if the tour guides are in cahoots with the store to get tourist money. We were also provided with an option to take a ride on the Nile to Banana Island at 200 euro per person! We were not prepared for this so we declined. It was pushed a few other times and finally, the issue was dropped. The pyramids were incredible and the tour guide provided fantastic information about the construction, chambers, etc. He answered all of our questions. We were told via email confirmation that we would return to our hotel by 9 pm. Our flight was not scheduled to depart until 9, so we did not return back until 10:30. This was a long day but filled with great information. Even with the hiccups, the overall day was unforgettable!

Excellent Tour, but too much time lost - We had a real great tour, but in the beginning, it took us more than an hour to wait for the policeman, who had to have a look at us the whole day. The Visit of the Egypt Museum was quiet great, but we had to rush because of the hour we lost in the morning. The guide was great and very gentile, but he gave us not enough detailed information, just the 'normal' thnigs to know. (e.g. he has'nt mentioned, that there's a possibility to go down into a pyramid just in the left oft the big one, without waiting and for only 2,-EUR each person). These 'ggod tipps' were missing. And we booked the late flight, but we got the early flight, and so, we had no time to have a look at the bazar. Because of these disadvantages, the trip to Cairo will get two points less.
