Highlights
  • Hurghada - You’ll get picked up
  • Hurghada - We will travel by our comfortable private car transfer from Hurghada to Luxor, a distance of 285 kilometers.
  • Temple of Karnak - Upon arriving in Luxor, our first stop will be the Karnak Temple, the largest temple complex in Egypt located on the eastern bank of the Nile. The grand pillared hall is one of the temple’s most significant architectural features. The complex comprises three areas enclosed by walls: the first dedicated to Amun (ancient Egyptian Ipet-sut, meaning “place of election”), the second to the District of Month, and the third to Mut. The oldest visible remains date back to the 12th dynasty under Sesostris. The temple complex was continuously expanded and rebuilt until the Roman Empire. Noteworthy among the ruins are the temples of Amun-Re, featuring a total of ten pylons. You will also see the sacred lake, measuring 120 × 77 meters, located south of the central temple building and fed by groundwater. Admire the grand pillared hall, statues, pylons, and obelisks.
  • Luxor - Nile trip by motorboat
After visiting Karnak Temple, we will relax on a delightful 45-minute Nile cruise by motorboat.
  • Luxor - As our driver crosses from the east bank to the west bank, we will enjoy lunch at Al Mina restaurant, which offers Mediterranean and Egyptian cuisines.
  • Valley of the Kings - The Valley of the Kings is one of Egypt’s main tourist attractions, though only a small portion of the tombs are open to visitors. You will have the opportunity to visit three tombs. The Valley of the Kings houses the tombs of the rulers of the New Kingdom, approximately 1550 to 1069 BC, from the 18th to the 20th dynasty. In 1922, Tutankhamun’s tomb was discovered largely intact.
  • Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari - The Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut, dating from the 18th Dynasty, is the best-preserved temple on the west bank of the Nile in Thebes. Its unique architecture is remarkable. The entire temple is constructed of limestone and was built within 15 years.
In the afternoon, we will begin our journey back and return you to your hotel in Hurghada.
An experienced tour guide (Egyptologist) will accompany you throughout the excursion, sharing their extensive knowledge. At SherifTours, we specialize in individual and private excursions in Egypt. Our tour guides are well-acquainted with the local area and continually update their training to ensure your trip is as enjoyable as possible.
  • Colossi of Memnon - The Colossi of Memnon are two ancient Egyptian colossal statues from the 14th century BC, standing side by side. The quartzite statues, which are badly damaged, represent King Amenhotep III, who ruled the ancient Egyptian New Kingdom in the first half of the 14th century BC. The statues were erected in 1379 BC.
  • Thutmoses factory for alabaster stone - At Thutmoses factory for alabaster stone, you will see how alabaster is crafted and have the opportunity to purchase souvenirs. You can also use the bathroom for free and enjoy a complimentary soft drink.

Highly recomended! - promptly picked us up from our hotel. I traveled to Luxor for three hours in a pleasant, air-conditioned minivan. Not to exceed fifteen persons. Ashraf, our tour guide, was fantastic. A charming individual who clearly loved what he did! He showed us locations other groups hadn't gone and was very informed. We spent roughly 1.5 hours in the Karnak Temple, which was our first trip. We could have taken a Nile cruise (£10) after leaving here, but as we had already taken a Nile cruise the day before, we took the bus to the restaurant. The restaurant was located by the side of the Nile, served good meals, and was clean. The scenery was breathtaking! We headed into the Kings' Valley. Our tour included three admissions to whichever tombs we wished to see. We all agreed to follow the tour guide's recommendations and went to the tombs he suggested. We went to KVs 2, 4, and 6. For an additional fee, visitors could view Tutankhamen's tomb. However, our guide informed us that nothing about it was unique because everything inside could be found in the museum. We appreciate you saving us money! Next, we went to the Hatshepsut Temple. Whoa. This location offered some amazing views. Ashraf led us to the temple's lower right corner, where he pointed out the spot where Hatshepsut's image had been erased from every hieroglyph. I won't reveal the reason! But once more, no other groups visited this location, therefore they were deprived of important knowledge! Finally, we made a halt at the Menmon Colossi. Kindly give our guide Ashraf and the driver tips they deserve for making our tour so intriguing! Make reservations with this company, Highly recomended!

Great time - We had a great time on our trip to the Valley of the Kings! As others have said, you pack *a lot* into this trip. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing but just be prepared for it to be a rushed day. Having said that, our guide Rasha offered lots of information and gave us plenty of free time to walk about and take pictures after she explained a few things about each site. Although you went quickly, it felt enough time for us but a lot of these sites could probably take 2-3 hrs each to fully explore! For a day trip, you get a good taste of what it’s all about. I’ve marked this down a star only because our van was on the small side. If you’re 5’8” or taller, then you may struggle. However, they do stop along the way for you to stretch your legs, etc. One thing to mention is that the vans are equipped with seat belts and there are two drivers on the trip (which is good since it’s a long day)! All in all, we felt this was real value for money. Would recommend to friends & family

Excellent - Mohamed Salah was very kind and provided us with a lot of useful information. In the Karnak Temple, in the Kiralyok valley, and in the Kiralyok burial place. We left with a big lead, because Mohamed was very excited and gave an interesting and mature answer to everything. I heartily recommend it. It was the best Karnak Temple. We learned many things that you cannot find on the Internet. He answered everything kindly and patiently. It was a stress-free, informative and interesting excursion, Egypt (SHERIF TOURS). If you want to go, look for Mohamed Salah if you are really interested in the history of Egypt.

Brilliant trip - Mohamed Salah The trip was well worth it. Mohamed was a very friendly guide and was able to give us lots of explanations. He always made sure that we could listen in the shade and elegantly led us past the large group tours. We didn't want to do the Nile cruise at first because we had heard a lot of bad things about Banana Island. But Mohamed assured us that we wouldn't visit it and so we were able to enjoy a lovely Nile cruise. We would happily recommend the trip.

Highly recommended. - Today we did the tour from Hurghada to Luxor with Mohammed Salah. First we went to the Karnak temple. Beautiful all those columns . We then did the Nile boat tour to Banana island (really something for tourists, but still nice to get a breath of fresh air on the water). Then we had lunch and visited the Hatsepsut temple. The front view of the temple is especially impressive. Finally, we visited the Valley of the Kings where we visited 3 Ramesses tombs and the tomb of Tutankhamun. The last was the least impressive, but because the mummy and sarcophagus were still there, it was definitely worth it. All in all a very nice and complete trip. Highly recommended.

Excellent trip - Excellent trip to Luxor from Hurghada. We had two great drivers who spoke good english and took us on the four hour trek through the mountains to Luxor. Our tour guide, Salah, was excellent showing us the main sights but also giving us the history of the region and of Egypt. Highly recommend though suggest you do this in cooler months as we went in the summar and it was extremmely hot. Great service and really enjoyed our time.

Really, i loved this trip - Had a lovely day with our guide Mohamed Salah, who took us the valley of Kings/Queens. He was very knowledgeable, funny, kind. Really made the history come alive. (There was a 15 min stop at a rock store, but it was fine. Clean bathroom, cold water and the people were not pushy.) We had a lovely day honestly. The lunch that included is okay, drinks are not included £100. Seen everything we needed to in Luxor. Great tour.

Wonderful - The entire tour was very well organized! After booking, you will receive all the important information you need for this experience. Our guide Islam was great from A to Z! His way of informing us about the history of Egypt deserves 5 stars and more! He was humorous and paid attention to us! When I had questions, he always had a suitable, informative answer ready. If you book a tour in German with Viator, be sure to ask about Islam! We can only recommend the trip and Islam!!!
