Great trip! - At exactly 4:20 a.m. we were picked up by a minibus at the hotel in Hurghada. 6 people (German and English tourists) took part in the tour. Our driver (Ahmed) spoke German and English. First we went by bus to the meeting point, where the escort (this is for the safety of the tourists) started towards Luxor. Here you had the opportunity to go to the toilet. Then we continued by bus to the next stop for a toilet break and to eat the breakfast you had brought with you (breakfast package from the hotel). The journey towards Luxor through Egypt was very interesting, you felt like you were in another world. We kept passing various checkpoints that serve the safety of the tourists. The first tourist attraction we visited was the Karnak Temple. We were given a German-speaking tour guide (Nermiena), who was only there for the two of us. The English tourists were given their own English tour guide. The tour guide led us through the temple for about an hour and passed on her in-depth knowledge. The temple is very impressive and a very special place. After that, we had about half an hour to explore the temple ourselves and take photos. We were also offered a carriage ride through Old Luxor. This carriage ride costs twelve euros per person and is not included in the price. We paid in euros on site. The carriage ride took us for about half an hour through old Luxor with its narrow streets and past all kinds of market stalls. We are glad that we took this carriage ride because it allowed us to see the real Luxor, away from the tourist trails. The carriage then took us directly to the restaurant for lunch. Lunch is included in the price, drinks cost extra. It was a buffet and we enjoyed it. We then went on a boat for a short Nile cruise. The price only includes the short crossing to the other bank. However, we decided on a short Nile tour, which cost ten euros per person. We paid for this in euros on site. Tea and coffee were offered on the boat. Our minibus was already waiting on the other side of the Nile. We took it for a short photo stop at the Colossi of Memnon and from there on to the Valley of the Kings. This visit is included in the price. We had the opportunity to look at three different tombs. This was all very impressive, especially the many hieroglyphs on the walls in the tombs. From the Valley of the Kings we went to an alabaster sales station. Cold drinks, tea or coffee, were also offered there. On site we were shown how different vases and statues are made. It was like a little show that was put on for us. The locals had put a lot of effort into it and made everything very funny. The last stop was the tourist attraction of the Hatshepsut Temple. This is also very impressive with its large statues. At around 3:00 p.m. we took the small bus back to the hotel. We arrived at the hotel at around 6:00 p.m. The tour guide and the driver made a lot of effort and gave us a great day. We never felt unsafe during this day tour; the safety of tourists is very important in Egypt. We were offered free water and small snacks in the minibus all day long. You should always have change in euros or dollars with you, for going to the toilet and if you want to buy a little something. If you want to take the carriage ride or the longer Nile cruise, you should also have the right money (euros always work). We can only recommend this trip.

Excellent day trip to Luxor! - Booked this day trip as a private tour and it was excellent. Ahmed the driver arrived promptly to pick us up at the hotel at 4:30am and we were at Luxor at 8am, first van to arrive! We arrived at Karnak temple before the other tour buses and met with our guide Sa'id who was very knowledgeable. Following the temple we went to have lunch by the Nile at a buffet restaurant and the food was ok. As we took the private boat for a 40min down the nile, we were charged €20 instead of €10 as advertised for the small group. We then moved on to the valley of a the kings and again Said shared with us great his great knowledge. Overall it was an excellent day and we were back in the hotel by 6pm.

VIP small group trip from Hurghada to Luxor. RAMASKA TOURS. - Picked up at the arranged time by Ahmed. There were four of us in our group and had the minibus to ourselves. The bus was immaculate with wifi, phone chargers, tv, pillows, plants with snacks and drinks provided. Amhed gave a guided tour along the route pointing out places of intrest and explaining interesting Egyptian customs. We arrived at Luxor early before the crowds so we could enjoy Karnak without the crowds and be guided through the experience by Said who knew everything about the place. We then had a nice meal on the bank of the Nile. As a vegitarian I was well provided for. We paid extra for a boat trip aross the Nile which was an experience in itself as we were allowed to sit on the roof and take brilliant photos. We then took our minibus to the Valley of the Kings where we visited several tombs and finally onto Hatshepsut Temple. Said guided us through the whole experience explaining everything and answering our questions. Amhed then drove us back to Hurghada by 6pm. All in all a great day professionally driven by Ahmed and guided by Said.

Unmissable, even if long and quite tiring. - Long trip for relatively little time there, but unmissable if you go to Hurghada. Transport in a small group is not a significant advantage (on the contrary since large buses have toilets).
