Beautiful tour with a good guide - We booked a private tour because we have a little boy of 2 years old and we didn't know how it would work. We were picked up on time with a mini van, the ride is long (4.5 hours) but there are beautiful things to see. The tour itself was breathtakingly beautiful. The temples, the valley of the kings, the colossi, highly recommended. We had a good guide who told a lot with enthusiasm! We also did a tour of the Nile, where we also went to Banana Island, which I certainly do not recommend. It really is a tourist trap. We thought there would be crocodiles in the Nile, but they had them in cages on the island. So the communication was not good from the tour guide. But besides that, everything was very well organised, super flexible, very nice people, good lunch and a great memory!

Tired but very satisfied/ - We left our hotel just north of Marsa Alam at 4am. The driver was right on time, and so were we. After meeting another couple; had picked up on the way we went to Luxor. We were met on the outskirts of Luxor by our Dutch-speaking guide. First to the Valley of the Kings. We were told great stories and everything showed that our guide had a lot of knowledge and he managed to explain it to us in an understandable way. We also visited the temple of Hatshepsut and the colossi of Memnon. Just before lunch a relaxing trip with a felucca on the Nile. wonderful to relax on this busy day. After lunch finally to Karnak. Anyone who has been there will admit that an hour there is not enough, but we did get a nice picture of this temple complex. Then the return journey and dropped off at the hotel again, tired but satisfied. We received excellent guidance from our guide when visiting the ancient sights. The visits to an alabaster workshop and papyrus shop were not necessary for us because we had no intention of buying anything anyway. Lunch wasn't great. The soup was ok, but the chicken was very dry, so it could only be washed down with extra coke.

We would like to say a big “thank you”. - Our tour to Luxor was beautiful. Within a day everything was organized for us for the next day. Great communication and we got an answer straight away. The organization couldn't have been better. Our driver and tour guide were welcoming. The tour guide led the tour with wit and charm, almost as if he were a long-time friend telling us everything. The price was reasonable. Absolute recommendation!

Magnificent - This tour was pretty amazing. We were a little hesitant on the way to Egypt, but they planned everything mentioned on the website with great care. Thank you to Ms. Youmna who is always online for communication and planning. We would like to express our gratitude to our guide Mr Mansour and our driver Mr Mahmut, who was very careful and fast even in the traffic in Egypt.

Fantastic day! - Booked private minibus tour from Makadi Bay to Luxor. For the same price as through our travel provider (who travels in a coach with 40 others). Booking was easy via the internet, but it took a while before they responded to our questions. Our 2 friendly and reliable drivers picked us up at the agreed time. The trip alone was beautiful and we were never bored for a moment. You see real Egyptian life along the way. In Luxor, our Dutch-speaking guide Ahmed boarded, after which we went to the temple of Karnak, the colossi of Memnon, the Valley of the Kings and the temple of Hatsepsut. Our guide spoke passionately about all the sights and history of Egypt. He also took beautiful pictures of us at the sights. For an additional fee we also visited Tutankhamun's tomb and took a boat trip on the Nile. The delicious lunch was included. It was a day to never forget. Next time we will definitely book with Marsa Alam Tours again (maybe to Cairo).

Trustworthy people, great experience - Easy to recommend! Marsa Alam Tours works with the kindest and most trustworthy professionals and gives you a tour that’s well worth the money. Driver Mohamed came with a car in great shape and managed to save a lot of time during the trip; guide Mansoor is knowledgeable, eliminates the need for a professional photographer, incredibly friendly, very fair, and doesn’t try to milk you for money. In fact, he even recommends not to pay the 1800 EGP for Tutankhamon’s grave at the Valley of Kings (he takes you to a much cheaper but almost equally beautiful one), helps you evade the bazaar sellers, and doesn’t manipulate the exchange rate when you pay by card. The optional extension with the Nile cruise and the banana island is more worth doing with a larger party (because it costs 30 USD/person for a couple), but it’s a fun experience, it gives you the freshest bananas you’ve ever had, as well as a great stroll through the banana plantation. The restaurant is nothing special – but safe and hygienic. At the alabaster factory, don’t forget to haggle. The people are very kind, the lemon juice is tasty and everything seems great at first, but they will come at you with an offer that blows your mind. Don’t feel ashamed for going way lower than that. The products themselves are of good quality.

Beautiful private trip to Luxor - Picked up on time. Two drivers, who took turns. Local guide Mansour, who told beautiful stories, and still participates in the culture and knows the nice places. A trip on the Nile is fun and recommended. It's a long day and a long car journey, but you should definitely do it once!

Great guide but beware of sales stop - We were picked up at the hotel in Hurghada and there were four of us in a small group. The journey took 4 hours with toilet breaks. Our guide was able to explain everything clearly. Great explanation. Unfortunately there were unnecessary sales stops at a perfumery, papyrus and stonemasonry. This meant more time wasted. Therefore two stars deducted, as the website denied that there were such stops.
