Great Way to See Sumatra - This was a great tour with knowledgeable guides in a very good location. The food was delicious and the camps were well kept.

Highly recommend! - We had an amazing time with the tour. Ian and two Daddies were super friendly and helpful. The terrains were a bit harsh but they helped us very much. Ian showed us cool magic tricks and teached us how to do them at night which was cool. I highly recommend this trip!

Recommendation for hikers who enjoy animals - I was traveling in a colorful group of solo travelers in a 3 day tour. The trail was very varied due to the topology and the guides were very entertaining. Besides the orangutans we saw many other animals. The overall experience was very positive and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys hiking and enjoying nature.

Very good 3 day jungle tour - The guide Nangnang always provided a good atmosphere and explained many things about the jungle and the animals. Can recommend the 3 day tour to anyone.

Lifelong dream fulfilled - On our long trip in Southeast Asia and Australia, we wanted to make a detour to Sumatra and experience the orangutans in the great outdoors, as a friend told me about it. The organization in advance worked great via whatsapp: All questions were answered quickly, kindly and understandably and we felt well prepared. We had most of the equipment with us, but you can probably borrow things on site. The transfer (Hotel Medan - Bukit Lawang) worked great and we were received very friendly on site. Also our guide Ian was very nice and explained to us in detail what to expect. We were 3 participants with 3 rangers, so great care keys. The ascent through the mountains was much harder and more strenuous than expected. We are 28 and 29 years old with normal condition, but due to the heavy night rain the ground was very softened and the humid climate affected us. Ian and his colleagues, especially Eddie, were very considerate and took special care of me as I slowed down and needed help with my backpack. The food during the tour was fantastic and with the best food in all of Indonesia. The water supply is there. but you should be prepared to be able to carry your own water and not drink more than 1.5 litres when hiking between camps. Especially on the second day we saw many orangutans up close - a mother and cub even followed us for 2 hours hiking and so the second day in particular was very worthwhile and brought a lot of joy. We were able to fulfill an absolute lifetime dream and thank Monkey Business for the stark experience!

Once in a lifetime - What a great time. Not even an hour into the hike and we were up close and personal with a huge orangutan! The best part had to be our knowledgeable and hilarious guide Nang Nang. He made the experience unforgettable. Thanks so much to Nang Nang.

Local business. Best guides and experiences - Amazing experience with Ian's group (the company guide) It is to be appreciated that Monkey Business Tours is a local company and not from outside. The groups they organize are maximum 6 people + 2 guides + cook. We have seen over the three days we have seen many orangutans and all 4 kinds of monkeys. The guides have been super attentive and friendly. At night we have played with card guides and even magic tricks. For us to take a souvenir dw Bukit Lawang, Ian has made us some orangutans with the river stones. Do not hesitate to choose this company to do your tour.
