Highlights
  • Museu Vista Alegre - The journey from Lisbon to the factory will take 2h30m
The tour begins at the Vista Alegre Factory. This was created in 1824 and in just three years it became the main supplier of tableware to the Royal Family. A village was built around the factory to provide the best conditions for its employees. Here we can see all the development from its beginnings to the present day, where it is considered to produce some of the best quality tableware in the world.
  • The Aveiro Salines - The salt pans of Aveiro are some of the oldest in Portugal. Here you can see how salt is produced, from the sea to our tables.
  • Aveiro District - Aveiro is one of the most picturesque cities in Portugal. With its water canals, its typical boats, the moliceiros that transported cargo and its buildings with Art Deco façades. Just walking through the streets here is a journey in itself. After lunch, you can take a boat trip on a Moliceiro, a typical boat, or simply get lost in the streets of Aveiro and admire the Art Deco buildings with their unique façades. And of course, try some “ovos moles”, a typical egg sweet.
  • Casas Tipicas De Costa Nova - The typical houses of Costa Nova are unique, with their colorful stripes that helped fishermen identify their homes when they returned. Today, they are a place for incredible photos. And before you go back, why not try the tripas (freshly made biscuits) filled with the famous egg custard.

The return trip will take about 2h30
