Highlights
  • County of Pinellas Boat Ramp - Our tour guides will take you down mangrove shorelines in shallow calm waters searching for sea-life and sea-birds with our high powered LED illuminated underwater lights. Some of the highlights of the tour is feeding the fish which is fun for everyone and also paddling into the mangrove canal! The fish will follow our kayaks and get so close you can even touch them! You may also see crabs, shrimp & other sea-life as we illuminate the waters around us. Sometimes we’ll even see Dolphins and Manatees at different parts of our tour site. With literally nothing to do at night in Water Sports, our Glass Bottom Kayak LED illuminated Night Tours are perfect for families, friends, large groups, or an unforgettable date night under the stars! Our kayaks are very stable and similar to a canoe so water does not come in through vent holes so you can wear full clothing with shoes in the summer and even stay warm in the winter by wearing jeans and jackets!

Additional Information

Participating in the Glass Bottom LED illuminated Fish Feeding Night tours by Sharkey’s using our transparent-bottomed kayaks is a wonderful adventure. Our tour guides navigate through serene shallow water channels under a star-studded sky. They direct your attention to a variety of naval creatures including different species of fish, shrimp, crabs, and conch shells, all beautifully highlighted by our strong custom underwater LED lights. Our path traverses through a nature reserve complete with mangrove embankments and waterways, often offering glimpses of wild occupants such as Raccoons. Sightings of manatees and dolphins are also frequent in our tours. One of the high points of our kayak trips is the fish feeding event at a specified location in the route, a thrilling activity for all participants. A Don't Miss Experience - We loved the LED lighted paddle kayaks with the ability to see fish and animals in and around the water. The moon was beautiful on the water too. It was an awesome family activity with my mom and sons. Everyone loved feeding the catfish and being in nature. Our guides were spectacular and made the trip THE BEST!!!!!

It's a gamble - Nice people. Good equipment. I felt safe and prepared as we paddled around the bay and by the mangroves. The guides were kind and helpful. As for the nature part, that seems to be the gamble. You will definitely see the catfish at the end as you bring food for them but you may or may not see anything else. If you do it will be pretty quick. If your group is noisey I'd say your chances drop as well.

Was alright. - Guy giving the tour was great conversation aside from that it was just regular kayaking, same as I do back home. Could've rented a kayak and looked at mangroves and fish alone.

Don’t go save your money and your time. Find some catfish that you can throw food out somewhere else for free. - Was in Florida looking for something different and unique to do with the family. I’ve been kayaking before, but never nighttime kayaking with LED boats with a glass Bottom to see and feed fish. The description of this adventure sounded really exciting and fun. It said that there would be various type of fish that we would see crab and shrimp conch shells, different wildlife under the water and above water. The water was murky so there’s no way to tell what various types of fish we would be feeding. but when we stopped to feed them, the instructor said we’re feeding catfish. I thought if he cannot see what is under the boat how does he know that it is catfish, then I realized this is because that is all that is out there and all that they feed. we did not see anything other than the catfish. It wasn’t really a guided tour giving us any information. We pretty much follow the instructor out to an area turned around and came back besides feeding the catfish. The so called nice custom LED lighting, such as was in the description look like a broken glow stick that was thrown in the water. I definitely would not go again definitely would not recommend definitely think I should get my money back, definitely think I should warn other people not to waste their. Definitely a scam taking advantage of people in a new area visiting, trying to find something different to do. Would like my money back!!!!
