Very helpful and trusted team member - I booked the wrong date as I was confused on the pick up timing for the tour but the tour agency was very accommodating and accept the change of dates without hassle. Truly appreciated it. I would also like to commend our guide, Loka for being very patient with us as we climbed pretty slow and ended the tour very late. Additionally, we are thankful of our driver Niko for being a great assistance to us especially when I left my phone in his car and he's willing to go out of his way to return it to us. The climb was arduous but it was a great experience and the view is impeccable

PACK AND PREPARE - for the best day of your life - Being more detailed because the reviews did not prepare us! We really had to look at the photos - people’s clothes choices etc This hike was the toughest we've ever tackled. Good hiking shoes (we wore runners - big mistake) You NEED gloves, a large backpack with essentials like water/food (they might give you if they don’t think you have enough even though they pack a lot for all of you), and layers of clothing were a must. Rock climbing without ropes for most of the journey made it even more challenging. Going up was just as hard as coming down. But it was all worth it for the incredible views, the camaraderie among the guides and drivers who stayed connected via walkie-talkies, and the motivation they provided was sweet. Our guide, GEDE, was down-to-earth and experienced, making the experience truly special. His been doing this hike Since he was 9. Taking it slow, communicating with your guide, asking for breaks, and enjoying the stunning scenery along the way were key to making it through. Despite the freezing temperatures at the summit, the sense of accomplishment made it one of the best days of our lives. Overall, this hike was a real test of our abilities, but the reward of reaching the top was unforgettable. It's an experience we'll always cherish and recommend to others looking for a challenge 100%.

Mt Agung via Besakih route - The whole experience was very well organised. The driver arrived on time and was waiting for us even when we finished the hike early. The transport was comfortable and well air conditioned in the Bali heat. The hike itself was stunning and aid thoroughly recommend it to anyone outdoor enthusiasts visiting Bali!

Top of Bali - Wonderful experience, the driver Ketut Bude was prompt and picked me in time from hotel, he was very safe driver and than trek started around 11:30 pm my guide was so nice that he took care that I follow all safety while climbing as it was raining all the way till top and he kept explaining when I must use hiking poles and when hand as last bit with rock you have to use hand. Trek hike up is around 8.5 km and with slow pace it will take 6 hrs hike. Thanks to my guide for his guidance all the way up and down back to start point

Breathtaking sunrise experience - Had the best adventure on this trek despite unideal conditions on the way back down. My guide, Kadek, was super patient with me when my legs decided to just not work and I pretty much slid down half the mountain on our descent. He was diligent in asking if I was feeling alright/in any pain, was in need of breaks/water, and even bandaged one of my little “Agung kisses.” We laughed about my clumsiness the entire way. Plus the small bonfire and coffee he made for us shortly before reaching the peak was the perfect way to recharge and warm up before taking in the most amazing sunrise of my life! Additionally, my driver Agung was communicative and punctual, as well as very warm and accommodating. The journey from my accommodation to base camp was quick and easy, and I was incredibly thankful knowing I had a clean car waiting at the bottom to take me back after.

Wonderful views on Mount Agung - A great hike which starts early during the night. The track is very steep and the views are worth it. Do not hesitate to start later if you don't want to do a 2h break waiting for the sunrise. The organization with both taxi and guide went very well. I highly recommend it.

Very memorable experience, thankyou! - Great trip overall, supported by easy transport to and from the hotel and a very attentive and safety conscious guide. I found the climb challenging on the way up but well worth it once reaching the summit. A very memorable experience. The walk back down was easier, be sure to take good hiking shoes with plenty of grip.

Tough experience but brilliant driver! - Our driver Niko was amazing! He picked us up and consistently made us smile all the way to the mountain- it was such a great way to kick things off and we were so happy to see him at the end of the tour dropping us back to our hotel. The views were spectacular at the top but just bear in mind that it's a tough hike (eg. 40% of the people we walked up with did not finish it) and in total it took us 12 hours to go up and come down from the mountain (with coming down surprisingly taking a lot longer)! You're going to have to be quite fit and very dedicated to do this- if not, go to smaller mountains like Mt Batur.
