An Unforgettable Day - I highly recommend this tour. My guide Dennis was friendly, engaging and very knowledgeable. I was able to learn how to make a piece of jewelry with the women, milk and herd the sheep, watch the men make a fire, prepare a meal of ugali and dance with the tribe. It was amazing to learn about and experience a bit of their culture. I would suggest covering your head with a hat or scarf before entering the manyatta (hut) to prevent the smell of smoke from getting in your hair.

Excellent experience! - Fantastic Maasai village experience. You can tell the company, Motherland Diaries, spent a lot of time coordinating with the village to ensure an awesome experience. The villagers were enthusiastic in their welcome and it was truly a hands on experience. Simon, the guide, was amazing. I was truly impressed with his knowledge and enthusiasm. His input and preparation itself ensured a great time was had. I cannot say enough good things about Simon. Kudos for a job well done I was very impressed with the tour operator, Motherland Diaries. I was so impressed I did a follow on Nairobi City Walking Tour with them on a different day - it, as expected, was a fantastic as well

A unique experience! - This was such a fun, unique experience that we truly enjoyed. Dennis is a great guide and it's good to know that part of the ticket cost supports the villagers in sustainable ways. We went with a toddler and Dennis and everyone were very accommodating. We learned to milk a goat, cook ugali, start a fire and make beaded jewelry. Highly reccomend!

Life changing experience - Spending a day with the Maasai village people was a profound and enriching experience that offered a deep dive into their vibrant culture and way of life. From learning the intricate art of beading, where each colorful bead tells a story of tradition and heritage, to mastering the culinary secrets of Maasai cuisine through hands-on cooking lessons, every moment was filled with discovery and connection. Engaging in the timeless practice of herding alongside Maasai warriors, I gained a newfound appreciation for their intimate relationship with the land and animals. And when the rhythmic beats of Maasai dance filled the air, I couldn't help but join in, feeling the pulse of centuries-old traditions coursing through my veins. This immersive day left me humbled, inspired, and deeply grateful for the opportunity to walk in the footsteps of the Maasai people, whose resilience, wisdom, and hospitality touched my heart in ways I'll never forget.

Had a good time! - It was definitely an EXPERIENCE! I was a little skeptical at first about the activities ( I'm a New Yorker) but the very intentional activities allowed us to get a real understanding of Maasai daily life. Dennis and Ronnie are funny, personable, kind and provided a well organized tour.

This was a wonderful... - This was a wonderful trip! First, we went to the Maasai Market and had a look around. After that, we went to the Maasai village. On the way, our guide Dennis provided so much information, we learned a lot about them and their unique lifestyle. At the village we were welcomed and introduced and soon after we did the activities, e.g. making a bead ring, making ugali in their huts, making a fire and milking sheep. The Maasai were so lovely and kind and before we left they sang for us and that was really soul-touching. I’d highly recommend this trip to anyone. We got some lovely photos and videos (Dennis took some for us as well) and I’ll cherish this time always. Thank you!
