A Journey Through the Heart of Pakistan

As I embarked on the 9-Days Skardu Tour, I was filled with anticipation and a sense of spiritual curiosity. The journey began in Islamabad, a city that resonates with a blend of modernity and tradition. Our first evening was spent dining at Monal, a place that offers not just a meal but a panoramic view of the city that seems to stretch into eternity. The air was filled with the aroma of spices, and the laughter of fellow travelers created a sense of camaraderie that would carry us through the days ahead.

The next morning, we set off for Chillas, passing through the lush landscapes of Naran and the majestic Babusar Pass. The view from Babusar Top was particularly breathtaking, a tapestry of mountains and valleys that seemed to whisper ancient secrets.

The Spiritual Majesty of Skardu and Shigar Valley

Arriving in Skardu, I felt a profound connection to the land. The towering peaks of the Karakoram Range stood as silent sentinels, their snow-capped summits touching the heavens. Our visit to Upper Kachura Lake was a moment of serene reflection, the still waters mirroring the sky and mountains in perfect harmony. It was a place where time seemed to stand still, allowing the soul to breathe and find peace.

The journey continued to Shigar Valley, a place that felt like a hidden paradise. The local market in Skardu offered a glimpse into the vibrant culture of the region, with artisans displaying their crafts and the aroma of local delicacies filling the air. Crossing Deosai and Embracing the Meadows of Rama

The crossing of Deosai National Park was a journey into the wild heart of nature. Known as the “Land of Giants,” Deosai’s vast plains and rolling hills were a testament to the grandeur of creation. Stops at Bara Pani and Sheoshar Lake offered moments of quiet contemplation, where the only sound was the gentle rustle of the wind through the grass.

Our final destination was Rama Meadows, a place of unparalleled beauty. The meadows were a sea of green, dotted with wildflowers that danced in the breeze. It was a fitting end to a journey that had been as much about inner exploration as it was about discovering the physical wonders of Pakistan.
