Highlights
  • Corinth Canal - The Corinth Canal connects the Gulf of Corinth in the Ionian Sea with the Saronic Gulf in the Aegean Sea. It cuts through the narrow Isthmus of Corinth and separates the Peloponnese from the Greek mainland, arguably making the peninsula an island. The canal was dug through the isthmus at sea level and has no locks. It is 6.4 kilometres (4 mi) in length and only 21.4 metres (70 ft) wide at its base, making it impassable for many modern ships.
From high up, you can enjoy the best view of Corinth’s isthmus and admire the steep limestone walls while you observe the vessels below you navigate their way through the canal.

Great to let someone else to the driving! - We were very grateful Georgios was our guide yesterday. He made an effort to engage with us, and share local history with us. In addition to the information we learned from our olive tour, Giorgos had much to share as well. What has not been mentioned on reviews is that this region around Markelos Olive Grove is breathtakingly beautiful.

Excellent unique experience! - Very scenic and majestic views of the Greek landscape. The real gem of this tour is the olive oil tasting which is especially eye-opening and enlightening. You will never taste olive oil in the same way again (I mean this in a good way). The driver Anthony was very friendly, knowledgeable and conversable! Excellent trip and well worth it.

Great tour of Corinth and olive farm - Our driver was waiting for us outside our hotel on time! The car was clean and comfortable. There was water and a local welcome gift snack. We enjoyed seeing the Corinth canal and the ancient ruins of Corinth. The olive farm tour and tasting was fabulous and the driver arranged everything and kept us on a perfect timely schedule. Our driver was local and knowledgeable and answered all our questions about Greece and traveling etc. He took us to a nice restaurant for lunch and returned us to our hotel. Wonderful experience!
