Our Backpackers Wine Tasting Tour takes place in beautiful Roman wine country just a 15-minute train ride from the center of Rome.
It is available every day from 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM and includes a tour of the vineyard followed by a wine tasting with three (3) local Frascati wines paired with local snacks.

Additional Information
Our Old Frascati Farmhouse & tasting room embodies the atmosphere of the frascette with local snacks and wines in the middle of a Roman vineyard.
You’ll be met at the vineyard with snacks and a house wine ready to start the tour immediately. First, you’ll have a walking tour of the vines to see stunning views of the Roman countryside. At the farmhouse, you will try 3 amazing local wines from the winery next door along with local snacks and salumi. At the end, you’ll also have coffee and a local liquor to finish your tasting.
The location of our farmhouse makes it accessible directly from the train station without the need for other transportation. Because we are reachable by train (and a 5-minute walk) it’s the most sustainable wine tour in the area.
- The train is not a part of the tour but it is the best transportation option for guests to reach us from Rome
- Ages 16 and above will be able to participate in the tastings with parental permission.
- Non-alcoholic beverages will be made available to individuals under the age of 15.

You can meet us directly at our Old Frascati Farmhouse in the Roman countryside. It's just a 5-minute walk from Tor Vergata train station.
Tor Vergata station is only 15 minutes from Roma Termini.
Mon-Sat: Take Train #12711 from Roma Termini to Frosinone and exit at the 2nd stop.
Sun: Car needed.

Fabulous wine, food, vineyard experience! - FABULOUS EXPERIENCE. We absolutely loved the hosts, vineyard, food, and the wine!! It was in a perfect hidden gem easily accessible by the train line. The couple hosting the experience were so so sweet! They made us feel very welcome and comfortable, as well as keeping the Frascati wine traditions alive. I could tell they really care about the quality of their products and experiences and Dominique, one of the very sweet owners, even walked us to the train station when we didn’t know where to go. I look forward to coming back to Rome so I can have this experience again. Highly recommend!!

Local family run winery with fantastic character - Fantastic host. Family feeling. Delicious food. Fantastic presentation of 4 wine types of olive oil. Fantastic presentation of the vineyard and viewing out in the vines. Good time. Value for your money. Would love to come back. Highly recommended.

Wonderful wine tasting vineyard tour..not to be missed! - Dominique met us at the train station (a quick 15 min ride from Rome Termini) with her cute dog Amy. We walked a short distance to her rustic farm house on her vineyard where she does the tastings. Max gave us a tour of the vineyard and told us all about how they grow the grapes and about the history of the area which is very interesting and something I had no idea about (volcanic soil). We were a group of four, my husband and I and our 21 year old son and his girlfriend who booked this trip last minute witch Dominque graciously accommodated. The wine is delicious and her pairings with bread, cheeses and meats (olive oil from her farm) and a fennel salad was perfect. Dominique is friendly and charismatic and makes you feel like family while you are there. Max is knowledgeable about the area and the vineyard and we learned so much about how they grow the grapes and make the wine. We decided to go to Frascati for dinner which is a quick cab ride away and Dominique gave us restaurant recommendations (Max also works at a restaurant in town). This was one of the best times I have had on our trip to Rome, Dominique is a treasure you will absolutely love her, her vineyard and farm house, her cute dog Amy and you will learn a lot from Max who is a joy to chat with. Can’t say enough about what a great time we had! We came as strangers and left as good friends…that is the best way to describe Dominiques hospitality.
