Additional Information

Ephesus was an ancient city from the Greco-Roman period situated on the coast of Ionia, about three kilometers southwest of what is now Selçuk in the Izmir province of Turkey. The Ephesus excursion covers the archaeological remains of the old city of Ephesus, which has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Nestled next to a lush valley, the city was historically a hub for commerce and early Christian religious practices. It stands out as one of the most intact ancient cities and is notable for its rich cultural relics including the Treasure Odeon, the Temple of Domitian, Roman public baths, communal latrines, and the Hercules Gate, making it a gem among Turkey’s tourist attractions.
Explore the House of the Virgin Mary, believed to be the place where she spent her final days, complete with sacred springs and a wishing wall. Glimpse the panoramic view of the Temple of Artemis, one of the seven wonders of the classical world.

Great concise tour with enough time to see everything we want - The tour to Ephesus from Izmir was very well narrated by our tour guide Erman. He did a great job keeping us interested and engaged while still giving time to rest from the constant flow of information. He was very well organized and timely, giving us enough free time to see views ourselves while keeping the tour moving so we could see everything we wanted.

Incredible Tour, great guide. - Our tour was incredible. Kusadasi was spectacular and our tour guide made sure that we got to see and understand the significance of this ancient city. Our tour guide met us and from the beginning customized our tour so that we got to see the ruins and the Virgin Mary’s house. he explained so much about the significance of what we toured while making sure that our group needs were accomodated. Some members in our group had more limited ability to navigate the terrain and the walking distances, and he made sure we could get to see everything in spite of some physical limitations of some. I can highly recommend Gezenthi Tours. Our tour guide made sure to text me ahead if time to let me know where to be and what time. His thoughtfulness in calling me ahead of the tour to make sure we knew exactly where to be, helped us to connect with him and started our day so smoothly. We had a delicious Greek lunch at a terrace cafe. a real treat.

A fab day out from Izmir - A lovely day trip from Izmir. The group size was good and we chatted together at lunch and on the bus. The tour guide was kind, polite and attentive. She even changed the itinerary a little to ensure we avoided going at the same time as a cruise ship tour. Would definitely recommend this tour.
