Fantastic Tour!!! - The tour was 4 hours but we took in the Gyeongbokgung Palace, Namsan Tower, Hanok village and the Blue House! Very organized tour. Johnnie was an absolute amazing tour guide!!! He was very knowledgeable and so super helpful. One of our group is disabled and couldn’t walk far without stopping. He made sure she had a wheelchair when we toured! He was very patient and made sure we rested and hydrated. He even helped us get taxis to other destinations! He is an absolute jewel!!! Thank you Johnnie!!

A taste of Korea - Ben was our host and he was wonderful! Went to a Local market and he ordered items he liked. A little bit of everything. He tried to think of items and destinations near our hotel since we were traveling with our kids. Our son didn’t want to try anything and Ben was very patient and kind to him.

GJ - Best Seoul Tour Guide - GJ was an amazing local tour guide with solid English. She was very friendly energetic, and knowledgeable. She taught us so much about the history of the city. She took a ton of fun and creative pictures of me and my family. She thoughtfully brought a heart locket for us to write on and hang at N Seoul Tower. She even provided us with classic red bean jelly snacks. GJ is passionate about providing tours and loves people. She had a wonderful sense of humor and made our stay memorable!

Arnaud and City Unscripted can't be beat! - We love taking City Unscripted tours when we are visiting a new place - the customization and expertise of the guides can't be beat! Our guide on Seoul, Arnaud, was so knowledgeable about the city and took us to some wonderful places that we would not have known to look for. The couple of hours we spent with him felt more like time spent with a friend from Seoul than a tour guide. I highly recommend using City Unscripted (and asking for Arnaud) when you are visiting Seoul!

Seoul City Highlights Tour - This tour definitely covered a lot of area. We saw things/places that we probably would not have found on our own. A lot of walking. Opportunities to take buses as well for some places. It was quite warm. A bit difficult to understand our guide.

flexible and patient - It was a little bit of too much walking for me during my guided tour so I suggested to take a taxi to the next location. My guide was very flexible and very patient with me, and I liked that about her. Switching up the tourist attraction spots also was not a problem for her. I can recommend GJ as a tour guide, she is very bubbly, full of energy and wisdom.

Disappointing experience due to the tour guide (miscommunication, awkward issues, and the 2nd part of the tour closed) - This is a very difficult review to write. We are generally very generous people and reviewers. Vera was our guide. She was from Russia. The issue was a few miscommunication and awkward moments with Vera and my family (my two daughters and I). In terms of the trip, Vera took us to NamSam Tower, using subway and bus system, and then after NanSam Tower, Vera took us to a K-pop cafes location and the cafes were shut so she was upset about it, and so were we because it was a really far distance to go there. And then Vera felt guilty and tried to make up for this and got my children some tanghulu (strawberry dessert). So, I was nice about this and hence I gave her 2 stars instead of 1. Also, on the positive side, she taught us how to get the one way Subway tickets, and familiarise ourselves more with how to get on and off the subway. This was useful. But another guide on a later day told us about and helped us to get the T-money card from 7-eleven which basically cover all of Korean buses and subways, which were superior than the one way Subway tickets anyway. On the negative side, she was also a bit rude to my daughters in her style of communication, making my daughters a bit uncomfortable. Maybe it was a communication issue rather than a personal one. We don't know. But I think it's important for me to share this.

No hidden gem - Johnnie was a great kid but he had very little knowledge about Korean culture, history and tradition. We didn’t not mind walking but walking for over 30 minutes from point A to B in the blazing sun was exhausting! This did not maximize our time. We ended the tour early. We could’ve dot this tour on our own. City Unscripted is not for us. What a waste of our time and money!
