Highlights

Hawa Mahal - Palace of Wind - The Hawa Mahal, a renowned landmark in Jaipur, was built by Sawai Pratap Singh. Originally intended for the royal family to visit a site accessible to the public, the palace is a visual marvel with its towering curved latticework arches.

City Palace of Jaipur - Another must-see in Jaipur is the City Palace, notable for its art and architectural features. The palace boasts expansive gardens and courtyards that cover a large area.

Jantar Mantar - Jaipur - The Jantar Mantar monument in Jaipur houses the world’s largest stone sundial and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Constructed by Rajput King Sawai Jai Singh, the monument showcases the architectural styles of its era and continues to function as an astronomical observatory, attracting unique travelers from around the globe.

Jal Mahal - The Jal Mahal, or Water Palace, is situated in the middle of the picturesque Man Sagar Lake in Jaipur City. This exceptional Rajput structure was renovated and expanded in the 18th century by Maharaja Jai Singh II of Amber. The five-story building, made of red sandstone, is a sight to behold.

Abhaneri - Known for its impressive ‘Boris’ (step wells) and the Harshat Mata Temple, the village of Abhaneri is believed to have been founded by King Raja Chand. Originally named Abha Nagri, meaning the city of brightness, it was renamed due to mispronunciation. Step wells, unique to India, served as cool retreats and water reservoirs during dry periods. It was customary to wash hands and feet before entering the temple, located next to the Chand Baori.

Fatehpur Sikri - This magnificent fortified ancient city, located 40 km west of Agra, was the short-lived capital of the Mughal Empire during Emperor Akbar’s reign. It was the first planned city of the Mughals and the first to feature Mughal architecture, a blend of Indian, Persian, and Islamic styles. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1986, it remains a significant historical site.

Mehtab Bagh - Mehtab Bagh, or Moonlight Garden, offers a romantic view of the Taj Mahal at sunset. Built by Emperor Babur along the Yamuna River, it was the last of 11 gardens constructed on the river’s east bank. The garden is perfectly aligned with the Taj Mahal, making it an ideal spot to admire the monument’s beauty at sunset.

Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah - Often described as a “jewel box” and sometimes called the “Baby Taj,” the Tomb of I’timād-ud-Daulah in Agra is a Mughal mausoleum regarded as a precursor to the Taj Mahal.

Agra Fort - Agra Fort, a massive structure built by Mughal Emperor Akbar, is made of red sandstone and houses several beautiful palaces, including Diwan E Aam, Khas Mahal, Pearl Mosque, and Musamman Burj. It is also where Aurangzeb imprisoned his father, Shah Jahan.

Taj Mahal - Built in the 17th century by Emperor Shah Jahan for his beloved wife, the Taj Mahal took 22 years to complete. Recognized as one of the Seven Wonders of the World, it is the most extravagant expression of love ever created. The Taj Mahal offers a mesmerizing view in the early morning light, with its vast marble surfaces changing colors from soft grey and yellow to pearly cream and dazzling white.

Qutub Minar - The Qutub Minar, also spelled Qutab Minar or Qutb Minar, is the second tallest brick minaret in the world. Part of the Qutab complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this 73-meter-high tower of victory was built by Qutab-ud-din Aibak after the defeat of Delhi’s last Hindu kingdom.

Red Fort - Also known as Lal Qalʿah, Lal Kila, or Lal Qila, the Red Fort in Old Delhi was built by Shah Jahan in the mid-17th century and remains a major tourist attraction. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Humayun’s Tomb - Humayun’s Tomb, or Maqbara-e-Humayun, is the resting place of Mughal Emperor Humayun in Delhi. Commissioned by his first wife, Empress Bega Begum, in the 16th century, it is the first garden tomb in Asia and a heritage site. Designed by Persian architects Mirak Mirza Ghiyas and his son, Sayyid Muhammad, it is a significant architectural achievement.

Friday Mosque (Jama Masjid) - The Masjid-i Jahān-Numā, commonly known as the Jama Masjid of Delhi, is one of the largest mosques in India. Built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, it is now the second largest mosque on the Indian subcontinent and a stunning example of Mughal architecture.

Recommendation for Golden Triangle Tour - The tour was great! Our driver Nizam was very nice and drove very calmly and safely. He took care of drinks and snacks and also told us a few things about the cities. We were free to decide how long we wanted to stay at the sightseeing spots.

THE BEST that India has to offer!! - My trip to India was a lifelong dream and Janu’s team made it come true in the best way possible! I came with another 12 women from all over the USA, Europe and Asia and I can safely say that we all loved having a private driver, a tour guide in each city who spoke amazing English and taught us a LOT about history & culture AND you can’t beat being the ONLY guests at Janu’s beautiful homestay in Jaipur. But it doesn’t stop there! My luggage never arrived from the US and Janu and his team made sure to spend some time with me shopping for necessities and even covered the cost of some of my shopping when my card wasn’t accepted at a couple of places. I really don’t think it gets more personable than that! I am definitely going back to India and will not do so without contacting Janu! His entire team is what you want when you’re on vacation: professional, friendly, fun, safe, engaging and knowledgeable. If you go to India and don’t contact Janu I’m sorry to say you won’t have as good of a time!

Unforgettable trip thanks to Mr. Rakesh - An amazing private driver in India! - We had the pleasure of traveling with Mr. Rakesh as our private driver during our trip around India (Golden Triangles: Delhi - Agra - Jaipur) and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! Mr. Rakesh was always punctual and extremely reliable. He gave us impressive insights into the country and its people and he effortlessly navigated the often hectic streets (even New Delhi chaos!), which gave us a feeling of security. In addition to his safe driving skills, Mr. Rakesh was also a wonderful companion. He was always polite, helpful and had a wealth of information about the places we visited. And he was also very open to trying new things. So after an initial wandering (thanks to Google Maps!) we were able to find our designated destination (the Baori in Neemrana). Mr. Rakesh didn't know that either. ;-) His friendly manner contributed significantly to making our trip unforgettable. We can fully recommend Mr. Rakesh and would like to express our heartfelt thanks to him. If you want to experience a stress-free and enjoyable trip in the Golden Triangle, you should definitely choose Mr. Rakesh and his agency Janu! Thank you for the wonderful experience!

Excellent - An unforgettable experience! Thanks especially to Janu's team, we were like at home. The Marigold Homestay is very comfortable, clean and has a very good breakfast. Thank the driver Jaheer who took us for the 6 days with great care and explained many things about India to us, highly recommended. We had cold bottled water at all times. Totally recommended, very good people and eager to show their country. I would always repeat! Thanks for everything!

Incredible experience! The best 🤩 - We traveled with a prior reservation made with Janu, and we could not have been happier. From the moment they picked us up at the airport, until they dropped us off again. The driver is excellent, they always have water in the car and are at your disposal. Your own homestay, the Marigold is absolutely excellent! The best, if not the best in India. Of course, our experience would not have been the same without the Janu team! Totally recommended. India is not an easy country but thanks to them the experience has been wonderful!

overwhelming, extensive, impressive - After landing in Dehli we got picked up by our driver Lalan. He brought us directly to the Hotel. We already experienced how convenient it is to have a driver. Lalan is a good car driver and nice travel campanion. Our Guide Manu gaves us a good impression of dehli and was able to show as both sides of this city. The Traffic in Delhi was horrible so we spent a lot of time just to get from on city Point to another. Between each city we visited we drove around 250km but Lalan always gave us a nice and komfortabel journy. We made some stops on the way to take pictures of the country side and went to good Restaurants. Next day in Agra we watched the sunrise in front of Tahj Mahal (which you should also do, but not because of the sunrise but because of the heat). Our Guide Rahu told us a lot of things about the inline art and also brought us to a place where they still make this kind of art. On our third stop in Jaipur we met the Boss Janu. My first Impression of Janu was very good. If you want to travel around india i am telling you this guy knows what he is doing. In Jaipur i (21 year old Student traveling with parents) was already tired of all this Buildings and History but Suria managed to show us a lot of things in the town without making it exhausting. My Favorit part of the Journey was our stay in Mandawa. Abid gave us an very good impression of this old dessert like City full of beautiful buildings. He also organized an Camel ride for us.

BEST TIME IN INDIA! - My two friends and I did a 8 day tour with Janu's tour company and they truly rolled out the red carpet for us. They were flexible and very professional from start to finish. Our driver Jaheer was so nice and made sure my birthday was extra special. I cannot recommend this company enough. I can't wait to come back to India to use their services again.
