- Kartarpura Phatak - You will meet locals doing the printing work with the beautifully carved hand blocks. Your textile tour is the first hand introduction to block printing work and during this experience we will take you through the entire process starting from carving the hand blocks by the local artisan, block printing by the local printers using various blocks and colours, and the washing.
By the end of your tour you will have a clear idea of the block printing technique and then you can try your hands upon a long scarf/table runner/apron using the hand blocks and colours . You can carry this printed piece home as a beautiful souvenir of your own creativity.
You can also get dresses made by a local high skilled tailors on request.

A must while in Jaipur - What an amazing tour! With the choice of so many block printing tours and experiences in Jaipur, I’m glad I went with this one. Monty was kind, open, knowledgeable and had great respect for the artisans and their craft. Being able to see, hear and experience the ins and outs of the work done here was awesome. I’d recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city, it’s a must!

Knowledge and experience of the intricate art of block printing - This was an excellent off tourist experience to get to the heart of block printing in Jaipur. My daughter and I learnt the intricate skill of block printing from making blocks to colors to actually printing a scarf. Monty is extremely warm , deep knowledge of the art and ensuring tourists have a great experience. On a hot day Monty had never ending supply of cold water bottles. Monty and Pannu are excellent

Monty provided a great experience along with the artisans at work. - Monty provided me with a lot of interesting history of woodblock printing in India. It was great going behind the scene and witnessing these artisans at work. Great experience actually carrying out the technique and making your own creation. Monty personally has a lot of travel experience, knowledge is warm and very helpful.

One of my favorite experiences in Jaipur! - I absolutely adored this experience. This was not touristy AT ALL and was in a true block printing factory. Getting to watch the artisans design these incredible fabrics was so eye-opening. This is a beautiful art. The class itself was really educational and enjoyable. I got to make a beautiful scarf and really enjoyed designing it. Getting to first hand try block printing was really fun!
Highly recommend this tour in Jaipur. It was truly one of my favorite experiences!

Amazing experience - It was great to learn about the history of block printing and hear about each step on the hand block printing, for example carving the blocks and making the colours. We watch some amazing printing being done in the warehouse and then we had a go ourselves and printed a scarf each. This was an amazing experience that we both really enjoyed and Monty and the team were lovely! Thank you!

Insightful block printing - Amazing day, we felt completely welcome the second we got to the factory and were shown around the different rooms whilst Monty explained the different steps to block printing. We made our way up to the top floor to start our own block printing and the process was explained in huge detail by Monty which resulted in the beautiful outcome of our scarfs, I felt so much more knowledgeable after the class. I really recommend!

The highlight of our trip to Jaipur! - We had the most fantastic morning at the handblock printing class with Monty! We learnt so much about this traditional process and made beautiful scarves, picking our own colour schemes and patterns. Monty and his team were so friendly and helpful, and made us feel at home with a tour around the factory and some delicious Masala Chai. We would 100% recommend this experience to anyone visiting Jaipur. We only wish we had more time so that we can also join Monty’s cooking class too.

Block print workshop with Monty - The block print workshop was well explained.
The course takes place in a room in the heart of a professional workspace.
