Amer - Amer, formerly known as the capital of the state before Jaipur, holds a rich history. Built in 1592 by Raja Man Singh, this old fort is now popularly referred to as Amer Palace and Fort. Made with red sandstone and marble, it exudes grandeur and is enhanced by the presence of Maotha Lake nearby. The combination creates a charming ambiance that adds to its allure.
Another must-see spot is Panna Meena ka Kund, a unique square-shaped stepwell with stairs on all four sides and a room on the northern wall. This structure holds religious significance as it was used for ceremonies before weddings or during festivals. Although not the largest in Rajasthan, Panna Meena ka Kund is definitely worth a visit for its historical and cultural value.
