Hawa Mahal - Palace of Wind - The Hawa Mahal, or “Palace of the Winds,” is a five-story building that looks like a honeycomb beehive. Its numerous windows and jharokhas provide excellent ventilation, which contributes to its name. This amazing airflow makes it an ideal place to escape from the heat and enjoy some cool breezes.

City Palace of Jaipur - The City Palace in Jaipur, India is a remarkable complex of courtyards, buildings, pavilions, gardens and temples. Of the many structures it comprises, the most prominent are Chandra Mahal, Mubarak Mahal and Shri Govind Dev Temple. Additionally, visitors can explore the City Palace Museum to gain insight into its rich history.

Jantar Mantar - Jaipur - The Jaipur astronomical observatory, Jantar Mantar—constructed by the enlightened ruler Sawai Jai Singh II in 1729—is renowned for its accuracy and remains a testament to eighteenth-century efforts to advance our understanding of planetary and other cosmic movements. This pre-modern observatory is considered one of the most accurate in the world.

Royal Gaitor Tumbas - The royal cenotaphs, located just outside the city walls of Nahargarh, are a serene and underrated destination to explore. These intricately carved stone monuments honor Maharajas Pratap Singh, Madho Singh II and Jai Singh II among others. Of them all, Jai Singh’s marble cenotaph is especially remarkable with its dome supported by 20 detailed pillars.

Jal Mahal - Jal Mahal is a stunning sight to behold, built with Rajputana architectural lines and providing breathtaking views of the lake. Not only can it be admired from land, but also from Man Sagar Dam on the eastern shore of the lake. This majestic structure stands as an impressive testament to its creators’ skill and artistry.

Albert Hall Museum - Established in 1887 by Maharaja Sawai Ram Singh II, the Albert Edward Museum was named after the Prince of Wales who visited Jaipur in 1876. It is renowned for its impressive collection of artefacts, paintings, sculptures and other historical items that highlight Rajasthan’s vibrant cultural heritage.

Panna Meena ka Kund - Panna Meena ka Kund is a square-shaped stepwell with stairs on all four sides and an adjoining room on the northern wall. This unique structure was likely used for religious ceremonies before weddings or during festivals, making it a popular destination in Rajasthan. Although not one of the largest stepwells, it’s definitely worth exploring!

Amer - Amer is now part of the Jaipur urban agglomeration and is renowned for its breathtaking Amer (or Amber) Palace. This majestic fortress, along with several other Rajput fortresses in the area, was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2013 due to its remarkable beauty and historical significance. Surrounded by hills on all sides and situated at the foot of an impressive rocky gorge, Amer will surely take your breath away!
