Authentic desert experience - We had an amazing time on the camel safari arranged by Ba. We were looking for something different from the usual one night stay in a camp experience and we were not disappointed. We were driven to a village in the desert where we meet our camels and guide. He was excellent, cooking meals and leading the camels into the desert. We camped under the stars and saw a lot of wildlife. We travelled as a family with two teenage boys. It was a great adventure and felt an authentic insight into desert life. Highly recommended.

Authentic desert experience - We had a wonderful experience. Ba's hospitality is remarkable, we immediately felt comfortable. Our stay started with a perfectly organized airport pickup in an adventure jeep. We had a comfortable stay at his hotel Mirage inside the Jaisalmer fort with a great atmosphere and view over the city from the rooftop along the city-wall. The 3-day camel safari was the perfect mix of sunsets, sunrises, starry nights, chai tea and camel riding, all in the most amazing nature setting. Highly recommend!

Relaxing desert experience off the beaten track - Very nice, calm and authentic desert experience off the beaten track! Camel riding was for about 2-3 hours a day, so suitable for “beginners” like us. Sleeping under the desert night sky was awesome!

Connection and silence - Incredible experience, I did it twice with Bas, sleeping under the stars... eating delicious over the fire... delicious Rajaathani food. The meditation on top of the camel gave me a lot of clarity and in the silence of the desert I felt a lot of peace. I highly recommend it and would like to return for more days of adventure. Thank you

2 Nights Under The Stars - My partner and I had an absolutely amazing time on the safari when we went in December 2022. We first took a jeep ride to the village of the safari guides (with a quick stop on the way to look at fossils), from there we mounted our camels and set off. Every day of the trip involved a few hours of camel riding which got our bums quite sore. However, by the last day, we'd gotten completely adjusted and didn't want to get off! It was a really nice way of taking in the desert environment. The camels all had their own personalities and getting to know them was fun too. At the end of the first day we watched an amazing sunset over flat plains from our camp on the hilly dunes. The night sky we saw afterwards was the highlight of our trip to India. As the moon comes up several hours after sunset and there is not enough moisture in the air for clouds, we were able to get the incredibly clear view of the stars. With this clear view we were able to see more shooting stars in 1 night than we had ever before in our lives. The second night was just as spectacular. The cameleers were super friendly and took great care of us. We had some great chats with Sawai in particular. We enjoyed hearing about their lifestyle and culture, and getting to eat their delicious food. We also saw so much wildlife: goats, dogs, cows, desert mice and heaps of birds! All in all it was an experience of a lifetime and we'd recommend it highly. To note: toilets are holes you dig yourself. Its no problem at all, you just need to bring toilet paper/tissues, a plastic bag for your waste paper and sanitiser. If this is not your cup of tea, maybe this isn't for you.

Two beautiful days in the desert - We had an amazing camel safari. With a small group we took Ba's Jeep from Jaisalmer to the desert. We had two very nice camel guides who put us on camels and we started the ride. We got tasty food, mixed vegetables and Charpati. The second day the rest of the group left and it was just us two with Ganes, one of the guides. The second day was so cool because we got closer to the camels and could even learn to ride them on our own a little bit. Overall, the highlight of our India tour so far. We really enjoyed the time with the camels in the quiet desert.

Phenomenal Stay in the Thar Desert - This was truly a standout experience. Ba picked me up from the train station at 7am and took me to his guesthouse to have a hot chai and to decompress for a bit before heading out. In the desert, I joined a small group led by Hakam, an excellent guide who was friendly and very comfortable with the camels. He knew the terrain well and was an excellent cook to boot. Hakam took care of everything from camel maintenance to meals to arranging beds to packing. The camels were well-behaved. The desert sunsets and sunrises were beautiful, and it was a treat to catch glimpses of antelope and birds of prey. Upon returning, Ba was even more hospitable than before, making sure that we had a place to relax and clean up. When I asked about getting to the train station to catch a 1:30am train, he arranged a ride for me and stayed up past midnight to personally escort me to the station. All in all a phenomenal stay in the Thar Desert.
