Highlights
  • Sangumburi Crater - Jeju Sangumburi Crater, Natural Monument No.263 (designated as 1979.06.18) The commonly said GumburI is Jeju tongue, which refers to the crater of volcanic edifice.

It has a round curved lining above or around the mountain, a horseshoe shaped like a hollow.

Regardless of its shape or size, we call it the GomburI, or Umburi depending on the region.

The best times to visit are October and November

  • Seongeup Folk Village - This traditional village on Jeju Island has been preserved as it was in olden days with impressive piles of stones designed to protect roofs from the wind. The buildings have been designated important folk relics because these castles and homes that were built to prevent a Japanese invasion have remained intact the Joseon Dynasty.

Folk Village is optional.
You can select Jeju folk village museum

  • Seongsan Ilchulbong - UNESCO Heritage

(Including Women Diver Show)

This tuff cone formed when an underwater volcano erupted in the middle of the ocean. Seongsan Ilchulbong(Sunrise Peak) was designated National Monument No.40 in 2000 and a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site in 2007. The climb is steep, so please bring water and a handkerchief.

  • Seopjikoji - This place is a famous filming location for the Korean drama “All in.” In the spring, there is magnificent coastal scenery and yellow ripe flowers, with the backdrop of Seongsan Ilchulbong(Sunrise Peak). In the fall, there is a romantic atmosphere when the wild flowers bloom and the gold reeds blow in the wind.

Seopjikoji can be replaced with Sangumburi on October and November

  • Jeju Stone Park - Located in Jocheon-eup, Jeju-si, Jeju Stone Park was inspired by Jeju’s culture and applications of stones. The main theme focuses on the foundation and identity of Jeju Island, based on the myth of Seolmundae Halmang (Grandmother Seolmundae), who created Jeju Island and the stones of Obaek Janggun (Five Hundred Generals). The park serves as a historical and cultural space where collected stones respresent Jeju’s foundation and culture.
  • Manjanggul Cave - This is the world’s largest known lava tube created by volcanic activity. You can feel the magnificence of the landscape that resembles being inside an underground place. The especially exquisite Stone Turtle that resembles Jeju Island is particularly popular.

UNESCO Heritage Manjang Cave [UNESCO World Heritage] is presently closed for construction to prevent falls. It is slated to reopen in August 2025.
Throughout the construction phase, it will be substituted by ‘Jeju Stone Park’

If you'd love to know the culture and history of Jeju, this is it! - Ken is an amazing tour guide who is very passionate and knowledgeable about the history and culture of Jeju, beyond the places that we have visited. Super friendly and respectful. We learnt so much within such a short time. He also took many lovely pictures of me and my friend but we are a little shy so we wouldn't be posting it here. Knowing that we will be around for one more day, he voluntarily recommended some places to visit and eat in Jeju. We had a really great time exploring and chatting with Ken and would definitely recommend this tour with Ken :) On another note, the information posted on Viator could be improved. For example, the itinerary and the inclusion of admission tickets in the package cost were unclear.

Amazing winterexperience - Our day tour with Lucas was amazing. When we met, he first discussed with us the itinerary. He also gave us a lot of information about the history of jeju and the locals. Because there was a bit of heavy snowfall, some locations were closed; but Lucas managed to bring us to other nice places. He recommended us a good restaurant for our lunch as well. He is very jolly and helpful towards us. He also took really good photos. He communicates well and is very friendly. We highly recommend Lucas for your next Jeju trip :)

Great private tour with Mr.Koh - Our private tour fell on a day with terrible weather. Mr.Koh still showed up on time to pick us up, and he was a very safe driver while in heavy wind and snow. He gave us a great tour and modified the itinerary according to the weather condition. Thanks to him, we were still able to visit UNESCO heritage sites despite the bad weather. The itinerary was efficient and Mr.Koh was communicative throughout, and I imagine the tour would be wonderful on a sunny day. After he dropped us off, we were notified our flight next day was cancelled due to strong wind, so I reached out to Mr.Koh to ask for restaurant recommendations. He quickly replied with a few options near our hotel. This was not part of our tour but an act of kindness. I highly recommend booking a tour with Jeju Travel Lucas.

Organization not living up to expectations - Beautiful places visited and very friendly and helpful guide. On the other hand, the organisation of the tour was not handled correctly and fairly. One of the stages (Manjanggul cave), which had not been accessible for some time, was nevertheless included in the tour. Given the price of the tour, we expected it to be replaced with an alternative stage. Unfortunately, this was not the case and we lost the opportunity to visit another place. On our request for a partial refund for the missed stage, we were given a derisory refund (€3.35 per person). Add insult to injury.
