Highlights
  • Jeju Stone Park - Jeju Stone Park is a place where history and culture merge, showcasing rock culture, the legend of Grandmother Seolmundae, and more. The goddess Seolmundae is said to have created Jeju Island, and the park features rock relics and data tied to this legend. It was designed as a space for both locals and tourists to connect through the island’s rich history.
  • Seongeup Folk Village - This village, preserving the lifestyle of old Jeju, is designated as an Important Folklore Cultural Heritage site. Unlike typical folk villages, people still reside here, and the residents volunteer as guides to provide visitors with information. Notable features include the Saw-leaf Zelkova and Japanese hackberry trees in the village center.
  • Seongsan Ilchulbong - Seongsan Ilchulbong Tuff Cone, a key attraction of Jeju, was formed around 5,000 years ago from an underwater volcanic eruption. Renowned for its sunrise views, it is one of Jeju Island’s top ten scenic spots. Besides sunrise viewing, it is a popular trekking destination with trails like the Seongsan-Ojo Trail and the Jijil Trail, which offer insights into the UNESCO-designated geopark and local culture. Hiking to the summit provides views of the volcanic crater and the surrounding ocean. A visit to Seongsanpo Port to watch haenyeo (female divers) at work is a perfect way to end the trip.
  • Haenyeo Museum - The Jeju haenyeo are revered as the strong mothers and spiritual pillars of Jeju. Their community life is seen as a model for humanity, characterized by merit-based and democratic decision-making. They cared for the elderly and infirm, contributed to society with their earnings, and invented various tools to coexist with the sea. Recognized for its cultural value, Jeju haenyeo culture was listed as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity on November 30, 2016.
  • Hamdeok Beach - Located along Jeju Olle Course 19, Hamdeok Beach is known for its emerald waters. Situated in Hamdeok-ri, Jocheon-eup, Jeju-si, it is also called ‘Hamdeok Seoubong Beach’ due to the nearby Seoubong Peak. Just 20km from Jeju Airport, it feels like a different world with its tall palm trees, emerald sea, white sand, and clear waters. Among Jeju’s many beaches, Hyeopjae Beach, Gimnyeong Beach, and Hamdeok Beach are noted for their beautiful sea colors. The shallow, clear waters make it a great summer spot for families. An overpass on the west side allows for a unique walking experience over the sea.
  • Gwangchigi Beach - Gwangchigi Beach offers some of the most pristine and stunning views along Jeju’s coast, with Seongsan Sunrise Peak, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site, visible in the distance. The area features trendy cafes, restaurants, accommodations, and family-friendly activities like the Aquaplanet Aquarium. It is also where Olle walking trails 1 and 2 meet.
