Highlights
  • Woljeongri Beach - ‘Woljeong-ri’, a village located in the eastern part of Jeju Island, is a village with a lyrical landscape that means ‘the moon stays’. The beautiful emerald-colored sea spreads out like a picture, and the bright moon shines above it. Some cafes have chairs where you can take a break while looking at the sea, and photos taken while sitting on these chairs became famous and became a photo spot. In Woljeong-ri, you can easily see people holding a camera and capturing memories of their trip to Jeju Island. Jeju Island has a lot of stones, so people like to pile them up. Traditionally, people make wishes to the village, stack stones to pray for health and success in business, or pile stones to pray for peace in the village. It is also possible to make a wish by stacking stones on the beach of Jeju! - Seongsan Ilchulbong - Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak is a World Natural Heritage Site and one of Jeju’s top 10 scenic spots. The scenery is said to be the most beautiful in Jeju. It takes about an hour to go up and down. If climbing is difficult, you can also walk along the left shore. Its height is 182 m. Seongsan means a mountain that looks like a castle. ‘Ilchulbong’ means the peak where the sun rises. Next up is a female diver performance. In case of bad weather, the show is suddenly canceled. Haenyeo performances are held a day at 2:00pm . Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak was formed when lava erupted from the seabed. The number of stone pillars on the outer shell of the fortress is 99, and it looks like a crown that has come down from the sky. It takes about 30 minutes to reach the top of the ticket office. After climbing to the top, when you come down, you will naturally see Haenyeo Performance Beach. - Seopjikoji - Seopjikoji film location sea side The name Seopjikoji was given because the Jeju dialect of the cape, ‘koji’, faces the sea. Located just south of Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak, the cape is a popular tourist attraction. From the top of Seopjikoji, you can easily see the tuff along with the beautiful scenery of the open sea and rapeseed fields. At the top of the hill is a lighthouse fire station built of volcanic rock, measuring 4 meters high and 9 meters in diameter. Behind the Bonghwa Fire Station is Bulguoreum Oreum, which is filled with red soil. The white lighthouse above the cone stands out in contrast. Seopjikoji has been used as a filming location for many Korean movies and dramas. Seopjikoji is also famous as the best recommended tourist destination by cnn. Seopjikoji tour best recommend Continue walking along the beach road, past the lighthouse, and continue to the beach path. There is no need to return to the starting point, the vehicle will be waiting on the other side. - Seongeup Folk Village - Seongeup Folk village information It is a village where people have lived in traditional thatched houses since ancient times. In the past, Seongeup Village was the center of Jeju. In Seongeup Village, horses and cattle were sent to the king and the central government. in Seongeup Village. You can visit the traditional thatched houses for free. You can also see the appearance of a traditional toilet. In Seongeup Folk Village, take a walk along the stone wall alley. You can see the lifestyle of Jeju. You can also experience Hanbok at Seongeup Village. - Sangumburi Crater - Sangumburi Crater information Jeju Sangumburi Crater is a parasitic volcanic crater of Hallasan Mountain. It is the only submerged volcano in Jeju Island. The outer circumference of the crater is 2,067m, the inner circumference is 756m, and the depth of the crater is 100-146m, forming a conical cliff, and the floor area is about 8,000 pyeong. The crater rarely ejected lava, only a hole was dug deep by the explosion, and the material from the explosion was scattered in all directions and only a small amount accumulated around it. Although the diameter and depth of the crater are larger than that of Baeknokdam, the water does not accumulate and flows out to the sea through the basalt gravel layer of the crater wall. Such a crater is called a maar, and Sangumburi Crater is unique in Korea, and there are only a few in Japan and Germany worldwide. - Saryeoni Forest Path - Saryeoni Forest Trail is one of the 31 hidden and unexplored places in Jeju. It is a forest road with thick cedar trees that starts with Bijarim Road and passes through Mulchat Parasitic Cone and Saryeoni Parasitic Cone. It is called Saryeoni Forest Trail because it is a forest path that leads to Saryeoni Oreum. ‘Saryani’ means ‘sacred forest’ or ‘winding threads in a circle so that they do not scatter’, and you can feel as if you are surrounded by the refreshing scent of cedar trees while walking through the forest. In addition to the dense cedar, a variety of tree species such as Quercus oak, hornbeam, stingray, and cypress are inhabited. Because various species of trees live in it, it is also a nest for mammals including badgers and weasels, birds including eight-colored birds and goshawks, and reptiles including zebrafish. It is also the forest where the drama filming “Secret Garden” took place. - Jeju Stone Park - Jeju Stone Culture Park Stone Culture Park is a museum and ecological park that comprehensively and systematically shows the stone culture of Jeju, the land of stones. The exhibition hall was completed and opened on June 3, 2006, seven years after the groundbreaking. Stone Culture Park, where you can see the stone culture of Jeju, is so large that it is recommended to visit it on a leisurely schedule. The Stone Culture Park is located in front of Oreum, a natural heritage unique to Jeju, and if you follow the shape of a castle made of piled stones, you will arrive at the entrance of the Stone Culture Park with a clear view of the surroundings. Passing through the entrance and following the viewing path, you can see various stone statues created by weaving the tale of Seolmundae Grandma and her son, General Ohbaek. The museum is underground, not above ground. - Jeongbang Waterfall - Jeongbang waterfall This waterfall represents Jeju Island. It is the only waterfall in Asia that falls from land into the sea. A place where you can dip your feet in the water. ‘Seobulgwacha’ was written in Chinese characters on the rock wall of Jeongjeong Waterfall. There is a legend that an envoy from Qin Shi Huang came to Yeongju Mountain (now Mount Halla) in Jeju Island and went around looking for the herb of immortality, inscribed on a rock. Jeongbang Waterfall has a lot of rocks, so you have to walk very carefully under your feet, and the stairs are easy to come down, but very difficult to get around. As the only natural waterfall in Asia that falls into the sea, it creates a more beautiful scenery when there are many photos and rainbows. Jeongbang Falls is one of the top 10 unexplored places in Jeju Island and is a must-see tourist attraction. - Daepo Haean Jusangjeolli Cliff - Columnar joints are quadrangular-shaped pillars that look as if they were delicately carved with a sharp carving knife, and are vertical joints that appear in basaltic lava flows. It was formed as a result of the contraction of thick lava flowing from a crater and rapidly cooling. You can enjoy the mystery of nature as the hexagonal stone pillars standing on top of each other, like a stack of stairs, are surrounded like a folding screen. The waves crashing against the pillars are also a sight to behold, and in severe cases, a ‘show’ soaring more than 20m in height is unfolded, taking the viewer’s breath away. The Jusangjeolli Cliff in the Jungmun-Daepo Coast boasts the largest scale in Korea with a height of 30 to 40m and a width of about 1km, and is designated as Jeju Island Natural Monument No. 443. - Yongmeori Beach - Yongmeori Coast Yongmeori Coast is located at the foot of Sanbangsan Mountain and extends all the way to the coast. Yongmeori Coast was given its name because it resembles the shape of a dragon going into the sea. Layers of sandstone over tens of millions of years have been carved by waves to form strange cliffs. The hollow inside, like the secret room hit by the waves, or the empty cave like the traces of the waves on the rock wall, makes you feel the grandeur of facing a long history. The spectacular scenery of winding cliffs with a length of 30 to 50 meters has been filmed as a background for commercials and movies. - Sanbangsan Mountain - Sanbangsan Mountain Sanbangsan Mountain is a mountain in Sagye-ri, Andeok-myeon, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do, South Korea. Sanbang means a mountain with caves. The height is 395m above sea level, and there is a sea cave at about 150m above sea level to the south, so it is called Sanbangsan Mountain. Sanbang means a mountain with caves, and since the Buddha is enshrined in a small cave under Sanbangsan Mountain, this place is called ‘Sanbanggulsa’. Water falls here regardless of the day, and it is also called the tears of Sanbangdeok, the goddess of Sanbangsan Mountain. - O’sulloc Tea Museum - O’sulloc green tea farm Opened in September 2001, O’sulloc Tea Museum is a museum with domestic and foreign tea-related items. The white windmills along the winding coastline and the emerald green sea give us a refreshing autumn scenery. From here to Chagwido Island in the distance. There are various sights to see on the blue sea. In particular, the Sinchang Coastal Road is one of the most beautiful sunset spots, so it is good to take pictures and enjoy the sunset. Also, if you drive along the coastal road, you can find a walking course called Ecology Experience Center. It is also famous as a filming location for drama bicycles. with sunset, Crossing the bridge with the wind generator while taking pictures, we went around the white lighthouse to see a walking path. Let’s take time to recover your body and mind. - Hyeopjae Beach - If you are asked to pick a beach worth visiting in the west of Jeju Island, Hyeopjae Beach is definitely the first or second place to recommend. Located in Hallim-eup, Jeju-si, it is part of Jeju Olle Course 14. It is also a twin beach adjacent to Geumneung Beach. Just looking at the sea light, as if emerald paint was gradually released into the transparent water, is healing. At low tide, the silver sandy beach with lots of shells continues endlessly. In front of the sea, there is ‘Biyangdo’ in the shape of a picture of an elephant swallowing a boa constrictor in The Little Prince. The sunset over Biyangdo Island and the sea is another spectacular sight that cannot be missed here. In summer, it is open at night, so you can enjoy the blue night of Jeju Island under the palm trees. Hyeopjae Beach has shallow waters with a gentle slope and a pine forest, making it a good vacation spot for families with children. - Handam Coastal Walk - Take time to walk along the beach on the Handam Promenade or drink tea at a cafe with a nice view. Walk along the sea beach for about 20 minutes from Gwakji Beach to Handam Promenade and feel the cool breeze and the atmosphere of walking towards an unknown world and experiencing something different. Start or end your day at the cafe overlooking the sea. Take your own time. Must Do when in Jeju - Mr. Kim was our incredible tour guide for the day. The tour started at 7 am and ended around 7/8pm, which enabled us to explore and sight-see most of Jeju Island. Mr. Kim led a very detailed, fun and interactive tour. He was very informative teaching us the history of Jeju and sharing his insights/recommendations as well. He is also quite the photographer and super helpful in making sure you captured beautiful memories on your trip. We all had so much fun and learned a lot about Jeju. This was definitely a must Do when in Jeju, especially if you have a limited amount or time. Thank you, Mr.Kim!

Awesome experience! - This has been such an amazing experience! Mr. Kim made it a memorable day while he drove with me to all the places of interest you can dream of as someone who’s been visiting Jeju-Island for the very first time. He explained a lot in detail, took a ton of pictures and simply knows which locations are the most impressive. I’m grateful to have booked this adventure and highly recommend it whether you’re going solo as I did, as a couple, with your family or friends. Thank you!

So worth it! - Whether you only have a day or even a week, this tour is worth it! Mr. Kim was such an amazing tour guide! He took such excellent pictures and videos of us. Such great memories! We also let him know the sites we wanted to see and sites we wanted skip and he was so accommodating. He had such a good sense of humor too! We were able to see everything we had planned to and covered so much in those 11-12 hours. I would highly recommend this tour. Jeju is so beautiful yet all the sites are spread so far apart it makes sense to go with someone who knows their way around the island to see as much as you can in a day. Request Mr. Kim if he is available. His English is good and he is a true professional.

Excellent!! - Since this was a one day tour of the south, east and west part of the island, I was not expecting much. Mr Kim made this tour memorable. He picked us up at the hotel on time and took us to the most famous sights. He was also great with taking pictures and videos of the sights. We did not feel rushed at all. He also took us to a great Korean buffet restaurant and the food tasted homemade and delicious and the price was great! I highly reccomend this tour if you are not staying in Jeju too long. PS. Mr Kim has a guide explaining all the places you will visit. If you get this tour, I hope you get Mr Kim

Fantastic Tour of Jeju Island - We only had one full day in Jeju and wanted to see all the natural sights that make this island so famous. Not, did we feel like we saw it all. We got picked up at 7 a.m. at our hotel and it was a whirlwind of a day, retuning at 7 p.m. but what a day it was! I feel like we really got to see all the natural wonders and beauty of this special island. We saw all the famous stuff, except for the lava tubes since they were closed. Our driver/guide kept us one step ahead of the tourist buses and helped us see and experience so much. It was incredible! If you only have one full day in Jeju, or if you have a free day and want to travel all around the island seeing all the natural highlights, this is the tour to do. We were a group of three and our driver, Mr. Kim, even took group photos for us at all the right spots. I highly recommend this tour; it is a little more money than a large group tour but the personalized service made you feel like a VIP, as well as moving around faster allows you to see way more stuff. It was great.
