Perfect introduction to Jerome - We were in Jerome on a cold overcast day. So happy to be inside a van to stay warm. Had a fabulous guide. Learned a lot about the history of the town. It was just the perfect amount of time and a great introduction to the town. I would highly recommend.

Carl was the best!!! - We had such a great experience! My husband and I and two children, ages 9 and 10, loved this spirit walk. Carl, who grew up in the area, was our guide. He pretty much knew everything there is to know about Jerome and had so many interesting stories. Even if you’ve read all there is to read about Jerome, Carl knows more. He kept it PG for the kids but was able to give us insight on how people used to live in this town. He gave the kids some ghost tracking devices that kept them entertained. Visiting Jerome was more or less an afterthought of our trip. I didn’t book the tour until the day before. We spent most of our vacation hiking in Sedona and visiting the Grand Canyon. Looking back, it was one of our favorite experiences of the whole vacation. We go to towns all the time. We travel a lot. But we rarely get an inside look of the unique history or the lives of its inhabitants. Reading the plaques on the sidewalk is not enough. Reading through a travel book is not enough. Hearing it through Carl’s storytelling was mesmerizing. I can’t stop thinking about that place! I will definitely add this to your “must-do” list If you are vacationing in Arizona. With or without kids. Super cool experience.

Wickedly fun! - Super cool! Very informative; a little spooky. We brought three girls (ages 16, 15, 11) and they said this was their favorite part of our day in Jerome. Thanks, Shane!

Authentic Experience - Our guide, Ginger, had an exceptional knowledge of the historical events that took place in Jerome, as locals we are now fascinated to go back and learn more! As for the walking part of the tour, make sure to wear comfy shoes and be prepared to walk down steep stairs. If you’re on the night tour, bring your flashlight or iPhone for light, they provide a bottle of water. As for it being scary or creepy, we had a 12 year old on our tour and he was pretty scared! It is a bit creepy looking down into the dark tunnels and the concrete jails! This is not a Disneyland haunted tour, this is an actual town with real, authentic and untouched history! They do offer an a.m. frequency box to listen and detect “ghosts”, which was kind of cool, but also, for me, a bit noisy and distracting from the quiet personal experience. Thank you to our guide Ginger for making it special, and please don’t forget to tip your guide!

Meh - It started off good. Got to use EMPs and spirit boxes but mostly just drove around the super hilly city after struggling to find a place to park.

Inappropriate, expensive waste of time - We are a family of four, two kids under the age of 14. The guide spent most of the time telling stories of brothels, drunkards and killings. He kept saying 'I'll keep this PG-16' but then used thinly veiled curse words (for example, 'mother f-ing'. Shockingly inappropriate and completely tone-deaf to his audience. There was little history actually told beyond 2 or 3 of these brothel, gun fight stories. We then did some ghost hunting with the equipment provided, but found nothing. We learned far more about the fascinating history of Jerome by reading the bronze plaques on many of the buildings and skimming a Jerome history book. The total cost for our family of four (ticket plus tax) was $188. Save your money and just walk the lovely historic streets, read some signs. You'll actually learn more that way and save yourself a lot of money.
