Amazing Petra and Bedouin Camp - The trip to Petra was amazing. This was a once in a lifetime experience. Our tour guide was nice and knowledgeable, hats off to our driver who drove us safely back and forth. Our journey to Petra was very long, but all worth it. Don’t expect a nice toilet on your bathroom stops. Our driver and bus change in the border went smoothly. Just have enough money for the border taxes. So much to see in Petra, you have to walk at least 1hr in and 1hr out. Wear comfortable shoes. Or you can ride a gulf cart for $15 one way. People will keep asking you to buy stuff, ride a camel, or a horse. The Bedouin camp was wonderful. We were served tea in a campfire after dinner. The atmosphere was very soothing. The mountains were lit up at night, and it looked magical while eating dinner. The food was delicious. The bathrooms in the camp was very clean. The camp that we chose didn’t have AC, but it gets cold at night.. It was worth spending money .

Great - Fantastic tour to Petra. I was on the road for 2 days and 1 night, including an overnight stay in a tent. The tent and camp are rustic. The room can be upgraded on site for less. There are clean showers and toilets. Included are: 2 meals on day 1 1 overnight stay 1 breakfast and 1 lunch on day 2. Drinks are not included, but everything is between 1 and 2 euros per drink. Absolutely no alcohol is served. The food (buffet) was very good. The guide and driver were great. You can take whatever you want with you and leave it all on the bus. A small backpack for the excursions is recommended. Everything went wonderfully, even at customs. I was very satisfied, so I thanked the driver and guide with a tip.

Holy Cow! - Wonderful experience! Our guide, Abdullah, was terrific. From ancient history to current events to geology and geography, he informed us of so many things. I will say the crossing from Israel to Jordan was quite confusing and could have been better explained. Much delay about what line to be in, exchange money here or later (later, there is a bank ATM just down the road at Jordan passport control.) and so forth. But a ray of sunshine: our Jordanian driver was waiting for each of us, clipboard in hand to be sure we were all accounted for! He shepherded us onto the bus and took us to Abdullah at passport control. (BTW, coming back from Jordan was a breeze). A lovely drive thru the lush Jordan River Valley to Mt Nebo, where Moses led the Israelites to the Promised Land. A delicious buffet lunch followed in town at the Mt Nebo Palace. Our next visit was in Madaba, to the Church of St George. Beautiful mosaics, and in particular, a map on the floor of the Jordan River. Historians and Archeologists have used this map to determine the place of Jesus's Baptism! Our drive continued thru interesting little villages and countryside, with planned rest stops. Late afternoon we arrived at the 7 Wonders Bedouin Camp, our lodging for the night (see also). Fortunately, an early start to see Petra! Absolutely Amazing! After arriving at the Treasury, we were given sufficient free time to explore various trails, according to one's own stamina. Another delicious buffet lunch at Petra Magic restaurant in Wadi Musa followed. This afternoon's drive took us up toward Amman, then to the border crossing. Just an amazing adventure, and very well done. I booked several Abraham tours while in Jerusalem, and all were great.

The border crossing between Israel and Jordan is very complicated - We made the two days trip from Jerusalem to Petra. This is a wonderful site. It worth the trip. However, the border crossing between Israel and Jordan is very complicated. On the Israeli side, there are two machines that allow you to print the exit slip, but one of the two machines is down. The payment of exit fees is also very long when there are two coaches of tourists arriving at the same time. It's not high season yet. We spent 3 hours to cross the border. Our jordan guide Mehdi is very nice, competent, and caring.

Amazing - I did the two day tour and had a great time but if I knew better, I would probably had done the three day instead just because Jordan was amazing and two days wasn't enough! Crossing the border was easy and our guide, Ali was the best! Great food, definitely worth it.

Great experience and all is well organised, but do not be too picky regarding hygiene aspects in the camp. - Great tour from Eilat to Petra, starting with a 4x4 tour in Wadi Rum in open Jeeps with sun protection. The bedouine tents are also nice but you should not be too picky regarding hygiene aspects. One night is definitely enough for the experience. The day in Petra was fantastic . With temperatures way above 40+ it is really exhausting.

Petra is Great - Don’t Use Abraham Tours to See It. - The tour was good, but the tour company was completely incapable of transferring bus loads of people. They failed miserably at informing anyone about where the pickup point was at the Israeli border. The bus drivers - rather than looking for the passengers were either waiting inside the bus (w/out signage) or sipping coffee and smoking cigarettes talking to one another. There was no pre-coordinating, whatsoever. Instead, the guests were required to wander around the terminal on their own trying to find the transportation. Also, the company, rather than scheduling multiple busses for each tour, they took the cheap way and relied on one bus to transfer folks to Tel Aviv and one to Jerusalem. That would have been fine but for the fact that they were waiting on 2 different tours to complete the transit across the border and make it through passport control. The tour that finished first was waiting to be transferred back to Jerusalem for more than 2 hours for the people from the other tour to all arrive. If anyone has tried to cross at Allenby Bridge - a brain dead way to handle the handover. The experience utterly ruined the trip and I will never take another Abraham tour again - I recommend you steer clear of them and go with another company.

Good Tour, Transportation Failure Turned Into Nightmare at the Border - The issue began once we crossed from the Jordanian border to the Tel Aviv border. The bus was delayed for several hours at the Israeli border to take us back to Jerusalem and then Tel Aviv, due to another tour that was supposed to join us. We were delayed without any information or time estimate on when we would depart to Jerusalem and then back to Tel Aviv. We waited for hours on a hot bus, sitting in the parking lot, with no information from the other tour group, from Abraham tours itself, or from the driver. When we tried to contact Abraham Tours about the best next option, we were unable to get ahold of anyone via telephone or Whats App due to it being outside of business hours. For a tour company that operates round the clock, this is unacceptable in terms of customer service. We had been awake since 5:30am and were eager to get back to Tel Aviv as we had an early flight home to Canada the very next day. My husband had been ill for two days, during the entirety of our tour, and was completely exhausted. We could not get ahold of anyone with the company to understand what our best next step was. With another four people from the tour, we finally hired a taxi, since there were no public buses due to it being a holiday, to take us to Tel Aviv to get to our hotel. We could not get a receipt from the driver of the taxi and since it was a shared taxi we pooled money and paid as a group. At the moment, per my correspondence with the company over WhatsApp, Abraham Tours refuses to reimburse us this expense. While we enjoyed the tour overall, this final experience left us with such a negative impression that we would not recommend Abraham Tours in the future in good faith. I would expect that a reasonable, professional tour company would understand these extenuating circumstances and reimburse us this expense as a goodwill gesture and to provide good customer service.
