Additional Information

Before working as a Tour Guide for the past 13 years, I spent a significant amount of time as an architect. This background has fostered a profound fascination with both contemporary and historic structures, which I view as tangible records of history etched in stone. I interpret archaeological sites anthropomorphically, visualizing the incomplete structures as bare buildings with some limbs gone missing. I believe that buildings mirror the prevailing social dynamics and are shaped by the societal requirements and cultural aspects of their respective eras. Moreover, they incorporate the technological advancements of their time and are moulded by the environmental, geographical, and geological context they are set in. To borrow words from William Morris (1834-1896), a notable English architect associated with the Arts & Crafts movement, ‘Architecture is the moulding & altering to human needs of the very face of the earth itself’.
