- Qiao’s Family Compound (Qiao Jia Dayuan) - Enjoy lunch in the local restaurant, then heading to Qiao Family Compound.
The Qiao Family Compound is the former residence of Qiao Zhiyong, the third-generation commercial tycoon of the Qiao family in Shanxi Province. He attained his fortune by running banks, pawnshops and teahouses.
The entire courtyard consists 6 main courtyards and 20 smaller ones, with 313 rooms altogether. Follow your tour guide to go up to the pavilion where you can enjoy a bird’s-eye view of the entire complex.
