Go on this tour! - This was an amazing tour and I hope to add a few bits here I was curious about before going. The bus stops are located in great, public, open areas which all seem safe. If there's one stop I'd be cautious with it would be in the mining district however the rest are fine. The staff are friendly and you're issued your ticket on boarding. There is another staff member present on the bus for any questions you have. Headphones are provided and the information is great. The bus stops, briefly, at points for pictures. There are 4 staff members for the Soweto tour, 2 on the mini bus and you meet 2 more at 2 of the stops. They're friendly and knowledgeable people who take their time to get to know you as well. There were no safety concerns from myself at any point and I really enjoyed the tour which was great value for money for me.

TRIP OF THE YEAR FOR THE MOSIA FAMILY. - As a Joburger myself, I never knew there's so much history in my city and to explore it with my children ( 10 year Boy and 5 year girl) was a trip of the year for us. They had so much fun aboard the bus and Mr Kenneth made sure we are safe at all time. He's driving is of world class level. Thank you to the ladies at Rosebank Mall who were super friendly when we bought tickets, they also escorted us to the bus. I'm so glad it was not full at all as my daughter gets very unsettled around crowds. Seeing the Mandela house and foundation was a blast for my boy, HE LOVES MANDELA TOO MUCH, HE'S DAD GETS JEALOUS AT TIMES😆😆. My princess cut our trip short when we got to Gold Reef City, her small haven, besides Home, we couldn't continue with our trip any further. But we are definitely coming back to finish it off. Thank you so much for such a great business that let's us explore our very own backyards( JOHANNESBURG).

Great way to see the city - I did the Jhb tour with apartheid museum. This was a great way to see Jhb. I’d highly recommend this tour. The audio is very informative, the bus driver drives safely and the stops are convenient.

Excellent to meet Johannes! - Very cool attraction!! Hopon-Hopoff bus with two floors (the second being open) and has a "radio" in each of the seats to listen to a little of the city's history and donates points as the bus passes. We took the Soweto Tour together, which is really cool - another van with a Soweto guide goes with you, explaining the history of this neighborhood and stopping for you to learn more/take photos of the main points. It was an excellent option without a car and with only 1 day to explore Joanes. The tour staff were super attentive, nothing to complain about!

Fantastic experience and very professional staff - I couldn't have hoped for a better tour around the main attractions of Johannesburg. City Sightseeing staff (both in the office and on the buses) are professional, courteous, caring and they make sure you know exactly what's going on at all times. Also, every bus I took arrived at the stop exactly on schedule, which must not be an easy feat in a massive city like Johannesburg. I hopped off to see Constitution Hill, the Apartheid Museum and took the Soweto tour. All of these were fascinating and definitely worth at least a couple of hours each. I enjoyed listening to the onboard commentary, full of interesting details and anecdotes and I felt the time flew by because of that. Finally, the City Sightseeing guides we had in Soweto were amazing too, providing enough background and personal reflections without overwhelming everyone. I would definitely recommend the red bus as the way to see and feel a lot of Johannesburg efficiently.

Not bad - A fun and easy way to get your bearings around Johannesburg. It’s cheap way to spend the day and the commentary about the sites were interesting. If you are planning to do the Soweto add on make sure to bring some tipping money for the hard working guides who provide their speaking service at certain stops.
