Best choice for the tour! - Although it was a last minute booking, it went ahead and I was lucky enough to have a guide all to myself! Nic was incredibly knowledgeable about the entire history of the country, answered all questions patiently and even made a small detour to the pharmacy. I learned so much and really enjoyed this day tour. Even difficult topics were explained in a very interesting way. All expectations were exceeded, I can only recommend it :-)

A truly wonderful experience - Our driver & tour guide Nick promptly arrived to pick us up from our hotel. He first drove us around the Johannesburg area to familiarize us with the area then drove us to Pretoria. While there we realized that my husband had forgotten his phone in our hotel’s dining room & he quite graciously offered to take us back there in Johannesburg to pick up the phone. All the way back he quite seamlessly engaged in more quality conversation. This was a truly wonderful experience. Nick has a quiet assurance about him & he’s extremely knowledgeable about a variety of subjects. We were able to engage him in conversations that covered sooo many subjects that you won’t ordinarily address with some drivers or tour guides. He took us to so many important sites & was able to accurately point out many aspects which, as an avid reader & being deeply interested in history I was able to corroborate when he spoke. He quite patiently took photos for us & showed us many important places. He took us to Soweto & showed us many different aspects of, and, the make-up of the area that some visitors might not be ordinarily interested in. He capped it off with a wonderful lunch experience & then drove us around some more with more explanations of what we were witnessing. He is truly a real asset to the company & I hope that you’ll be lucky enough to have him as your driver & tour guide when you choose to do this very enlightening tour.

Awesome experience - I was the only attendant for this tour and I really appreciated that it took place and didn't got canceled. Apartheid museum was unfortunately closed but they showed me the constitutional court instead. It was a great tour overall, and you got to know a lot about the history of this country as well as were shown the most important places. Highly recommend

It’s all in the tour guide, Richard from Africa Moja made the tour! - Our tour guide, Richard from Africa Moja was amazing! His knowledge of South Africa’s history was impressive. We learned so much, which made each of our stops informative and meaningful. It is a long day, but we only had one day to see Pretoria, Saweto & Johannesburg, so this tour was perfect for us.

Apartheid Tour - Guide provided a well informed tour of the essential sites concerning Apartheid in Johannesburg. A visit to the voortrekker monument with explanation of the Great Trek was also included. Guide answered all questions I had. Included lunch was a highlight:

Tour with great potentials but not very well executed - I was a solo traveler, with a tour guide who made his own program for the day. I was looking forward to seeing all the museums listed on the Viator booking, but we only made it to the apartheid museum (where I would have loved to spend the full 2 hours), and Kruger and Mandela house. Among explanations of the sites and events, we took many personals and business phone calls, and ended after 8hours. No hector Pieterson museum, mSunsutis museum or the SAB beer museum.
