- Sapporo Art Park - Outdoor Stage - The PMF 2024 Picnic Concert Experience provides visitors of all ages the experience of the ever popular Picnic Concert without any worry about transportation or parking difficulties, and all at a surprising cost value. The bus traverses both the heart of the city and the mountainous region to the south, providing views of both. The concert takes place at the Sapporo Art Park, in its lush natural surroundings, at the Leonard Bernstein Memorial Stage, where Bernstein gave his famous speech at the first PMF in 1990. A variety of food & drink (and beer!) is available for purchase and can be enjoyed while listening to an orchestra made up of 85 young musicians from 25 countries & regions, selected via highly competitive auditions, led by a faculty of principal players from the major US orchestras, creating a unique and powerful unity of sound. In addition to the concert, experience the Sapporo Art Museum, the Sapporo Sculpture Garden, and more, all within the Art Park!
