Choose with confidence! Highly recommended! - K2 has been on my dream list for 8 years, and at the end of my 20s, I finally had the opportunity to achieve it. Apricot is the number one online web to provide the tour and I got in touch with Sideeq very quickly by email, thanks for his proactive service and prompt reply, helping me get my trekking visa quickly, and the pre-trip information is very sufficient. Thanks all Apricot staff for taking care of me and helping me throughout my trip. Travelers like me can choose with confidence! I made an unforgettable memory in Pakistan, especially the whole team, 20 days together gave me the opportunity to experience a friendly and fun environment (not to name a little), thanks to the most reliable and experienced guides Amanullah Khan and Afzal, and their porters, all these experiences, together with the magnificent scenery of Karakoram, make up my best memories so far!

K2 base camp tracking - I have submitted a review on this b4. I initially signed up for K2 basecamp tour with GG LA pass circuit. I was a bit slow , managed to reach concordia but I felt going to GG LA will not b for me as it needed lot more effort and stamina. Having said that none of my group went to GGLa as they did concordia to base camp and memorial visit in a day and were exhausted. There were 2/3 members who were still keen and Apricott arranged for them to go with another Apricot group, but members decided to stick with group and sacrificed this opportunity. I must appreciate apricot team was excellent in communication right from time of booking till end. I reported in hotel at Islamabad, my other group members were picked up by Apricot from Islamabad Airport. We were given a 4 × hotel overnight in Islamabad with food. Were taken to skardu from Islamabad airport. Stayed in skardu for couple of days waiting for permit. Did local sight seeing ( lower and upper kachora lakes, visit to 16th century Kharpocho forte which offered stunning views of Skardu. On 4th we left by jeeps ( 100 km) from skardu to Askole ( first campsite) . As jeep was unable to go to Jhola because of bridges under repair. From Askole we tracked to Jhola, stayed near River. Next day walked paiju and then to Khubrset, next camp was urdukus , we tracked along rivers, crossed river and springs , walked on bolders, tracked on stones, sand, walked on 62 km glacier watching natural beauty on our way to reach concordia at 4512 m. On the way we passed miles of snow mountains ( glacier), lakes and crevices created by baltoro glacier. Over all it was approx 120 km one way tracking. Majority of my group visited Briad peak base camp, k2 base camp and Gilkey museum ( 5230m) walking on snow and some climbing on Glacier. It was described as a very difficult track. I rested on that day at concordia and enjoyed K2 and surrounding views. Some of my colleagues suffered high altitude sickness because of lack of oxygen and cpuple had to go down to lower campsite on horse/ mule. So donot underestimate the high altitude sickness as most of these guys were fit and experienced hikers to approx 3000 m hikes. May b a bit more acclimatisation time or early use of diamix might have helped. All through the track , we had fresh hot breakfast, hot dinner . Lunch was a mix ..sometimes packed lunch, on others hot lunch. We enjoyed group activities like yoga.. chit chat.. posing for camera. We all decided ti return on same track .. so it was another 120 to 130km return in 4 days.. On last leg of track I being slow, was caught in sand storm on Glacier but was very well supported by Apricot team.. finally we left from askole to Skardu on jeeps again ( not an easy ride) .. on way back we passed by cold dessert ( where people were doing Desert safari, sky diving etc, was not included) .. we had over night rest in Skardu in a hotel. Fresh up and flew to Islamabad on 18th day. At this time I left the group and left for Lahore but other group members were taken for signs seeing in Islamabad which I missed. Overall great experience, lovely hospitality at a very affordable price. Things to note: 1. during track Apricot offered boiled water every morning to fill bottles ir bladders. My brother who is used to track in Pakistan consumed water directly from streams but it us recommended to use either bpild water , use water purification methods like tablet or UV, or filter. 2. Use ORS or some rehydration salt as days sun can be scorching in Aug. Use hat or wet towel or cloth to keep cool. 3. Use sun protection cream . 4. On glacier, it gets instantly cold on sunset , so be ready. 5. Use UV protection goggles and hat. 6. Make sure your tracking shoes are upto scratch. Have decent layers , plenty of Socks , sleeping bag to keep u warm to -20 c. camera / phone. 7. May need crampons if going for GGLa pass. I shall request apricot to encourage members to buy S com Sim , helps to stay in touch with world though only works for couple of hrs a day. Must visit while you can. Have fun..

Beyond the peaks - It was an amazing experience. The management was very well prepared and equipped. The food and rations were ample as well. We were able to thoroughly enjoy our trip without any worry. I must say it does get exhausting, so I advise you to prepare for that! This is something everyone should try out at least once in their life!

K2 Basecamp: Epic & Unforgettable Adventure - Blessed to have completed this incredible trek with the support, experience and guidance from the amazing team of guides & porters at Apricot Tours. Our group was so, so well looked after by everyone and I am so grateful to them for helping make this trip of a lifetime an unforgettable and epic experience and adventure! A special shout out to Sadru bhai (our head guide) and Muhammad for their endless kindness and patience and always going that extra mile (or two!) to help me and the rest of our group. There are too many acts of kindness to mention, but one in particular I will never forget is when I had run out of water and Muhammad went ahead and brought some back for me, or the days I was struggling and they insisted on carrying my bag to make things easier for me. The porters that looked after us are some of the most incredible, humble, resilient human beings and without a doubt this trip would not have been achievable without their help and effort! Genuinely one of the best experiences of my life and if I was ever blessed to trek in Pakistan again I would go with Apricot Tours without a doubt!

An experience of a lifetime! - Apricot Tours made the K2 base camp a magical experience. From the time we arrived in Skardu to the moment we left, we were made to feel so welcome. They’re well organized, responsive to all our questions prior to the trek and during, the staff is phenomenal, and we felt safe at all times. Although the trek itself was challenging (if you’re in good shape and up for an adventure it’s completely doable!), the surrounding beauty, the people that became like family, the continuous motivation, the endless games played and dancing/singing with everyone made it all worth it. I didn’t want to leave and my heart longs to go back! I’d highly recommend Apricot Tours if you’re looking to travel and trek through the northern regions of Pakistan. They’ll ensure you have a great time. A special shout-out to Salar for bringing this surreal experience to life and for answering all our questions, to our amazing guides – Imtiaz, Kamaal, and Hasan chacha for leading, supporting, and keeping our spirits high at all times, to our most deserving kitchen & party crew – Shakeel, Sadiq, Fida & Muhammad Hasan, and all the resilient and caring porters that made it possible! It’s because of them that we had such an amazing time. Can’t wait to do something similar with them again.

Amazing experience that left us feel confident and blessed - We booked the K2 basecamp trek with Apricot Tours in 2022 and had an amazing experience! I was late to the party but it was not an issue at all to book and Apricot Tours helped me push with my visa and was very responsive on email inquiries. The crew was really caring and attentive, not only with us but also with each other and you can see how much of a difference it makes to have this experience with a local company and crew. It is heartbreaking to see how some groups leave their trash everywhere along the trek and don’t equip their porters properly but for Apricot Tours sustainability for people and environment is truly important. The kitchen staff went out of their way to make sure everyone was always fed and nourished. The dynamics quickly let to an amazing spirit and more than once the crew was lifting the spirits when we got tired, lend a helping hand or water in times of need and welcomed us cheering after we mastered a difficult stretch. I did the trek as a young, White female but did not feel uncomfortable at any point. We were a group of 4, all adults, two siblings(male and female) their mother an me. Communicating in English was smooth with the office and our crew lead. Some crew members did not speak English but we always found a way to get the message across, either with help from Somebody or using hand and feet ☺️ The trek itself was tough at times but I am not crazy sporty and managed fine, as long as you have proper gear and functional joints it is mind over matter I would say. one crucial aspect one definitely needs to be willing to accept is just being out in the wilderness in terms of sanitary facilities, sleeping and overall comfort. Some of the reviews blame the lack of comfort on a crew which is neither fair nor helping anyone. Just know what you are getting into and decide if you can appreciate the value of experiencing untouched nature over the lack of a proper shower. Being off the grid for 10 days was like rehab for me and I will definitely try to do something similar (if that exists!) again.

Fun in the mountains - Wonderful trip, nice group, great organization : guides were affordable and always wishing to help, porters did their difficult job always with a smile, food was tasty. The weather was amazing ( 2 weeks practically without a cloud...) which however made things difficult on our way back because snow melted , rivers became rushing torrents, bridges collapsed and our trip back to Skardu was long and rough, but I have to say that looking back at it, I can now say that this was part of the adventure and it's undeletable part of the trip memory. Definetely recommended !

Do it - Ok this was a tough mission. I found it harder than the usual Nepal trek. However, it was also one of the most amazing things I have done. The Apricot crew on the trek were relentlessly kind and worked hard to make the trek run smoothly. Beyond the astounding natural beauty the highlight for me was the inspiring group of people on the trek.. every one of them was interesting and willing to sacrifice their comfort for others in team. I recommend this trip and company. I also recommend you do the training beforehand and bring the recommended medicines and water purifiers.

Experience - Pakistan is wonderful, the people are very welcoming and friendly. However, the trek to the base camp is very difficult and tiring. Maybe I lacked a little preparation. I felt a certain rush in our guide, where he only accompanied the members who were at the front and most prepared, leaving us behind at almost every moment. We needed help, a word of encouragement... I had to give up along the way, due to tiredness. The food is terrible, given the preparation, hygiene and location conditions. The experience was good! Who knows, maybe one day I’ll finish this trek.
