This famous Buddhist temple, dating from the 8th and 9th centuries, is located in central Java. It was built in three tiers: a pyramidal base with five concentric square terraces, the trunk of a cone with three circular platforms and, at the top, a monumental stupa. The walls and balustrades are decorated with fine low reliefs, covering a total surface area of 2,500 m2. Around the circular platforms are 72 openwork stupas, each containing a statue of the Buddha. The monument was restored with UNESCO’s help in the 1970s. Highlighting the stone reliefs and the many faces of Buddha.

Yogyakarta was great - Views were amazing. Our tour guide, Dani, was very informative and patient. He took us for Luwak coffee and a buffet dinner. He drove us everywhere we wanted and was very flexible with the scheduling.

Truly awe-inspiring - We had a great time on this once in a lifetime tour! Our driver Dani was so knowledgeable about world religions and Indonesian history which truly enriched the experience for us. He was also flexible with the day’s schedule and was able to accommodate picking us up from farther. Highly recommend this experience to other travelers

A wonderful experience! - When our driver Pak Sigit got to the hotel at 8 in the morning, he took my husband and me on experiences we could never have imagined. We will always remember our time spent at the Borobudur Temple, Prambanan Temple & the Ramayana Ballet. At my request, Pak Sigit also took us to the Bukit Rhema Chicken Church. Understanding these locations' histories was an amazing experience. And since today, May 2, is our third anniversary, Pak Sigit took us to a lovely restaurant for dinner before the Ramayana Ballet performance. He went above and beyond making us feel special. We were exhausted and weary by the end of the day from all the walking and stair climbing, but it was worthwhile, so I would do it again!
Thank you Pak Sigit for accommodating to our request and for exchanging stories during our travel. We hope to see you and Jogja again!

Borobudur Climb tonthe Top tour - Widi was our guide for full day. His knowledge was excellent with great conversational skills. He made sure we got to all the sights. Borobudur was sensational. It will be in our memories for a long time and particularly the photos Widi took of us at the temple. Would highly recommend this trip and Widi as a guide

Amazing day of sightseeing with a wonderful guide! - Had an absolutely amazing day with my guide Adit, saw some beautiful temples with his expert guidance as he drove me around the city, with tons of amazing info.
Also took me for some amazing lamb sate that is a must-try! Just an unreal experience all-in-all.

Great tour, highly recommended, must do in this city! - The tour was amazing. Enough time to soak all the stories that the knowledgeable tour guide Dani explained.
You can go at your own pace so if you just want snaps then you are able to or if you want to learn about the history then embrace the knowledge being transferred and ask questions.
We even stopped at a unique "cat pool coffee" (google it aka luwak kopi) which wasn't part of the package so he was very flexible.

Big day + best time - Dani was an amazing driver and took us on a personal tour guide at the newer/third temple. He has plenty of historical knowledge to share and went out of his way to ensure we had a great experience. Even took us for Luwak coffee and bought us some exotic fruit to try! The temples are a sight to behold and definitely worth seeing at this time of year before peak season.

Amazing temple tour - This is the perfect tour to see Borobodur and Prambanan Temple! Our driver Atok was so friendly and knowledgleable. Atok didn't only explain to us the history of the temples but also a lot about Indonesia and its culture in general. Everything was organized flawlessly. Couldn't have done this trip in a less stressfree way. Can't recommend enough!

Wonderful day at Yogyakarta - Me and my sister spent a wonderful day with our tourguide Atok. Atok picked us up on time at our accomodation, was super polite and made sure we had everything we needed during our tour. In the end we were able to choose where we wanted to be droped off.
During the trip we got to see everything from the itinerary and were provided with a lot of additional information.
Atok made sure that we had a great time. His English skills are excellent, we had so much to talk and laugh about, it was a real pleasure meeting him. We got to know a lot about the Indonese culture and the different religions.
I recommend booking a trip with Atok if you want to have a well organised day and great company.
