A large eruption that occurred in Sakurajima. It is said to be the largest in the 20 century and greatly changed the history of Sakurajima. This tour traces the history of Sakurajima’s eruption and the stories of the people on the island.
The goal of the tour is the Yunohira Observatory, the highest point in Sakurajima. The view of the great nature of Kagoshima from there is very impressive.
You can enjoy activities, history of Sakurajima, and spectacular scenery! It is a tour that you should try at least once when you come to Sakurajima.

Fun ride ☺️ - Had a lovely ride to the view point. It was a tough ride up (for me) even with the help of the e-bike! Too bad it was cloudy and we couldn't really see the top. But the surrounding area was very pretty. Learnt alot from Rento, he answered my many questions and also gave me many recommendations for the area! I also enjoyed the treats that Rento brought along. Definitely had a good time today

Great tour, and great guide. Definitly recomended - Such a great tour, place and guide.
A quite road with electical bicycle to the observatory with a lot of nice spot to enjoy Sakuarjima and Kagoshima bay.
Rento is so kind and accomodant. He gave a lot of usefull and story and explanation on Sakurajima volcano and island and also take his time to answer your questions.
I higly recommend this activity with Rento.

Stuff of legends. - This tour is a great way to go up the the view point of Sakurajima and to learn about the history and the vulcano itself.
Renton is a very nice guide and will give you the full story of this place. It is very interesting!
Biking up with the ebike's is comfortable and it gives ample of time to admire the nature all around.
And maybe if you are lucky, you can see a japanese badger. Or even better you can see the vulcano having a bit of fireworks. Dont worry, it is safe. It just does little burps sometimes. But i didnt see them. Just old smokey doing its usual thing.

10/10 Perfect Day on Sakurajima - Rento-san is the best! He gave such a friendly, detailed, and perfectly paced experience. We learned a lot, got a nice light workout in, and met some other great people along the way. The bikes are in great condition and the tea tasting at the top was such a delightful touch. 10/10 reccomend this wonderful experience! - Nick and Sam on their honeymoon from Portland, OR USA.
