Guangzhou to Kaiping by private car
Kaiping Diaolou and Villages - At 8am, you will be picked up from your centrally located hotel in Guangzhou and embark on a 2.5-hour drive to Kaiping, famous for its historic houses.
Watchtower Group of Zili Village - Your first stop will be Zili Village, a cultural heritage site of Kaiping Diaolou that was added to the UNESCO World Heritage list in 2007. The village features around 15 old houses showcasing a blend of Western and Chinese architecture, built nearly a century ago to fend off bandits. Among these, the Mingshi Building stands out as the village’s emblem.

马降龙碉楼群 - Maxianglong Village is celebrated as one of China’s most beautiful villages, known for its picturesque mountains, river, flora, and Diaolou. Situated by the Tan River and backed by Baizu Mountain, the village features 13 Diaolou houses spread across five smaller villages. The Tianlu Building, constructed in 1925, is the most notable among them.
