The Ostrich Farm supplies Kenya and overseas countries with Ostrich Meat, Feathers, Skins and Livestock since 1991. The Ostriches have been trained and ridden for many years. People all over the world continue to experience riding this giant sized bird. Masai Ostrich Park is a fairly popular tourist destination as it is a place where Jockeys train for Ostrich racing. Ostrich races are held at the farm on Sundays and occasionally at the Ngong Racecourse in Nairobi. A fantastic chance to observe and directly feed a variety of ostriches awaits you. On sunny days, you may even have the chance to ride an ostrich! The farm is home to two species of ostriches, the Maasai and Somali. Not only will you be able to explore the farm, but bold visitors may also ride the ostriches. This is quite an exhilarating experience and offers great photo opportunities.
Depending on your curiosity and quest for the perfect photo, the farm tour can last around thirty minutes. Witnessing the ostriches at different growth stages and sizes is truly fascinating.
