Pick up and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Queen Elizabeth National Park - Ideally, your flight will arrive in Uganda early in the morning. Your safari adventure begins at Entebbe airport, where your Driver/Guide will meet you, provide a tour briefing, and then set off for Queen Elizabeth National Park. This park is Uganda’s top tourist attraction, featuring diverse ecosystems such as expansive savanna, lush forests, sparkling lakes, and fertile wetlands. It is home to classic big game, ten primate species including chimpanzees, and over 600 bird species.

You will stop for lunch along the way before continuing to the stunning Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of Uganda’s most prized destinations. If time allows, you may go on an evening game drive after checking into your accommodation, or simply relax at your lodging in preparation for the next day’s activities.

Kyambura Game Reserve (Kyambura Gorge) - A visit to the enchanting Kyambura Gorge offers mesmerizing views of chimpanzees grooming and interacting in their natural paradise.

Kazinga Channel - Enjoy a boat cruise on the peaceful waters of the Kazinga Channel, where you will witness breathtaking scenes of buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles, and elephants along the lake’s edge.

Chimp tracking and launch cruise at Kazinga Channel

Queen Elizabeth National Park - Rise early, have breakfast, and head out for Chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura Gorge. Located on the eastern side of Queen Elizabeth National Park, the gorge is home to habituated chimpanzees and other primates like baboons and monkeys, as well as various bird species. The gorge is 1 km long and 100 meters deep, with a landscape shaped by the Kyambura River, offering some of the park’s most impressive scenery.

Spend the morning tracking chimpanzees, then return to your accommodation for lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a two-hour boat trip on the Kazinga Channel, which links Lakes George and Edward. You will be captivated by the large numbers of hippos, elephants, and crocodiles, as well as numerous bird species along the shores. Dinner and overnight stay will be at your lodge.

Transfer to Bwindi via Ishasha sector

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest - After breakfast, depart for Bwindi National Park via the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, known for its tree-climbing lions. There is about a 70% chance of spotting these lions, although they can sometimes be elusive, especially when hunting in the grasslands. If you do spot them, it will be a spectacular sight!

Continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a major habitat for mountain gorillas in Uganda, with around 400 gorillas, including several habituated groups available for tracking. The park’s mist-covered hillsides are part of one of Uganda’s oldest and most biologically diverse rainforests, dating back over 25,000 years and home to nearly 400 plant species. After a strenuous day, head to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Gorilla trekking in the mist jungle forest and Lake Bunyonyi Relaxation

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - Following an early breakfast and a briefing by a ranger guide, you will enter the gorilla sanctuary for your adventure. The beauty of this rainforest is breathtaking, with its dramatic, steeply forested landscape. The dense forest is crisscrossed by numerous animal trails, allowing access for tourists. The duration and terrain of the trek vary depending on the movements of the gorillas. Once you find a gorilla group, you will spend an hour in their presence. Observing these gentle and endangered giants is an unforgettable and thrilling experience.

Return to your lodge for lunch, then check out and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. Surrounded by lush, green-terraced hills reaching heights of 2,200 to 2,478 meters, Lake Bunyonyi is most magical for its 29 islands of various shapes and sizes scattered across the water, which you could admire all day.

Lake Bunyonyi - A lake with a thousand islands, home to small birds and Batwa communities.
