Best cycle experience ever - I loved everything from responsive engagement during the booking process, prompt and courteous pickup at the hotel, to quick and efficient gear collection and boat ride across the lake to an exhilarating ride through the countryside and villages, to the monkeys in trees on the edges of the cycle paths to the most breathtaking strains of worship in song at a local Church. Our guide, Shedrack, was the absolute best: courteous, kind, knowledgeable and patient. He fixed a bike gears that got tangled up with bush, and also dressed a small wound - both competently drawing in a ready toolkit and first aid kit. I would take this tour again if I had the time or am back in the country.

Great experience away from crowded Kampala - It was a great way to get away from busy Kampala and enjoy quite, rural life. The trip by boat on lake Victoria was a great addition. Biking through small villages and enjoying the nature was my favorite part.

Sayurday bike ride - My partner and I had a greatvtime. Our guide was able to find a route that matched our skill set....uphills, single track, gentle downhills...it was absolutely fabulous to see the terrain, vegetation, and culture on the island. Thank you

Beautiful views and great memories - Beautiful views, amazing guide, and fun memories made! Michael was such a great guide. He knew how to pace our group based off our experience and skill level. It poured rain the morning of and our trip started on time. Although there were moment with mud puddles the rain had little effect on the trail as most was well packed dirt. There were a lot of route options ranging from beginner to more advanced riders. I’ll be taking my son back for the small loop in upcoming months. HIGHLY recommend!

Good time in nature, but nothing unique - I really liked this tour. On the other hand, there is nothing special to see that distinguishes this circuit more than any other. I had figured there would be some unique features to the ride, but there aren't any. I still give an excellent rating because I loved the guide who was very friendly. He has even already cycled from Kampala to Nairobi! I really enjoyed greeting the kids as they passed and even having to stop to give high fives. I also really liked the boat trip. This is a great tour for cycling and being in nature. On the other hand, this is not a good tour to see something unique or touristy. You must be in good physical condition for the climbs and descents.

Awesome rural ride! - The bike tour is a great scape from the noisy and busy Kampala urban life! James, my guide, was punctual, friendly and focus on ensuring this was an enjoyable experience… and it was! The ride goes through the rolling country roads, some family farms, lots of wonderful children greeting us along the way. I recommend this ride for someone who bikes on a regular basis…

Tailored ride that was challenging, but flexible to do more or less. Tracks you wouldn't find on your own. - I had initially planned to do the 2-day Lake Mburo national park trip, but decided to postpone that until I come back with a friend to make it more cost effective. Robin at Red Dirt was very helpful and understanding of my choice to change to the 1-day Lake Victoria trip. I got picked up by Francis from my accommodation in Entebbe and we drove up to the start point. A short boat ride across to the area for cycling and we were away. I had a Giant bike which was well maintained and light - better than my bike at home - and a well-fitting helmet. James was my cycle guide - very calm and friendly, and I felt under no pressure to do more or less than I wanted. There are some larger roads you have to use which have a fair few motorbikes, but as soon as you head off the main drag the paths were great. Slightly technical in places, but I managed and I don't do a lot of off-road riding. Vibrant and diverse vegetation and nice tracks as there had ben some rain which dampened the dust without being boggy. Would love to come again and try some different routes.

Would definitely do it again - I was skeptical about this having all 5-star reviews, but it really lived up to it. It was an incredible morning taking the ferry across the lake and then biking around beautiful farmland and villages outside of Kampala. Shadrack is an amazing guy and was a great guide -- we had really good conversations along the way. Be prepared for a little mud (wasn't too bad) and some strenuous effort (also wasn't too bad, but I cycle a lot).
