Highlights
- Karlovo - One of the most authentic, old and most respected customs and crafts in Bulgaria - picking roses and producing rose oil! In this tour, you can not only personally get to know the flower of the gods - the oil-bearing Kazanlak Rose, which is grown only in these latitudes, but also take part in the ancient ritual on picking roses with the local rose-pickers dressed in folk traditional costumes, with the tasting rose sweet, gulovitsa and rose liqueur. And then you will visit an old house where you will learn to brew the rose oil and extract the rose water. You will see local mode of life and centuries-old Bulgarian customs and traditions, which local residents will share with you. A visit to the Bulgarian Rose factory will take you to a demonstration of rose soap making. The operator reserves the right to make amendments in the programme/itinerary because of the different time of rose maturing in the region. The activity happens in 2 destinations - Karlovo and Damascena near Kazanlak as the order is reconfirmed with the customers.

Give it a try next year - We were thinking for quite some time to attend the rose festival but we wanted all to be taken care of. From start to finish this activity was impeccable. We took some many included activities in Damascene and Kazanlak and we were the whole day occupied. Wonderful!

Excellent introduction to the rose valley - Great explanation and visual of home rose oil distillation. Excellent information on History of Bulgaria and rose production, making of rose soap and other rose products.
Exceptionally good tour. Was beyond our expectations.

What a special experience! - My family and I had an amazing time at this experience. We highly recommend it to any others in the area. The tour guides also speak English. The booking experience was easy and the communication with the company was very responsive.
