Amazing bucket-list experience facilitated by a well-ran and reliable trek tour company! - A mate and I have just returned home to Australia after completing the Sublime Trails "Luxury" Everest Base Camp Trek. First off, this was an incredible, once-in-a-lifetime / bucket-list experience! We are in our 50s, so were definitely looking for something that provided a "luxury" experience as much as was practical, as well as the wilderness / high altitude trekking experience that is a part of any successful Everest Base Camp trek. We did successfully achieve our goal of making it to EBC! And even lucked out with some of the best weather & clearest skies of the whole trek for the day we reached that goal. Ram and his team have put together a great itinerary that ticked all the boxes. In Kathmandu Ram met us at the airport and arranged transport back as well for our return flights at the end, as well as transport to/from the airport when we embarked to and returned from the mountain area. He sorted out all the logistics for the trek, and organised a sight-seeing tour of Kathmandu. He also took us out for a farewell dinner on the last official day of the tour. Ram was very communicative via Whatsapp & email in the months / weeks leading up to our arrival in Kathmandu, helping us sort out what gear we needed to bring and so on. Once at Lukla, our knowledgeable and attentive guide Prakash and our porter Laxman provided amazing service and ensured all our needs were looked after throughout the duration of the trek. Prakash was always very clear about the plan for each day, always had our welfare and comfort at front of mind, and was consistently aware of the weather forecast etc when determining timings of our trekking and so on. They both also had a great sense of humour, and we all had lots of fun while on the trekking trails and also once we reached our accommodation each day. Below are some of the key highlights from the luxury trek package we undertook: 1. 5 star hotel accommodation in Kathmandu at The Marriott, both before and after the trek (3 nights included in the package - we added an extra night at the start for an additional USD 100 pp). This is a world class hotel, with all the facilities: comfy beds, amazing food (full breakfast included each morning), several bars, restaurants, pool, gym and day spa (the steam room / sauna / jacuzzi are available to hotel guests free of extra charge at all times). It was a great place to start in Kathmandu and also a sanctuary to get back to after the rigours of the mountain trek! 2. Helicopter flight from Kathmandu to Lukla - something not commonly mentioned on various sites when researching trek package options, is the fact that currently *most* airplane flights to Lukla during peak trekking months leave from Ramechhap regional airport rather than Kathmandu domestic. This can mean getting up as early as 2am and taking some form of road transport out to Ramechhap - which takes over 4-5 hours due to the nature of roads etc. Instead the Sublime luxury option guaranteed a helicopter flight from Kathmandu domestic airport to Lukla, with a reasonable morning departure time, which meant we were able to spend a full night at The Marriott and be well rested before heading to the Everest region to start the trek! 3. Best available mountain lodges in each village - while things got more and more basic the higher we trekked, we had attached bathrooms with hot showers up until Debouche (day 6), and then had access to a shared shower facility at Dingbouche (days 7 & 8). We only had 2 nights with no hot shower available (Lobouche & Gorakshep - days 9 & 10). Electric blankets were provided at most lodges, but note whether they work or not may depend on the amount of solar power harvested recently - so cloudy days may hamper your hot shower expectations! However on the couple of occasions they were not available, or didn't work, our guide Prakash stepped in and provided hot water bottles instead to help keep us warm and cosy! 4. Three meals a day were provided when in the mountain areas - breakfast / lunch / dinner, all pre-ordered from each lodges menu options, plus hot tea / coffee etc. We did have to pay for extra soft drinks, alcohol or additional snacks like chocolate bars and so on. 5. This is a big one - after reaching the EBC and enjoying the amazing mountain scenery etc, we enjoyed a spectacular helicopter flight to get back to Kathmandu (via Lukla) from Gorakshep, saving the the need to hike back down to Lukla (which takes another 2-3 days at least). This also enabled a couple of extra altitude acclimatisation days to be worked into the itinerary on the way up, giving you a greater change of avoiding acute altitude sickness and making it to EBC! While the altitude / thin air was certainly challenging, we had no problems with altitude sickness during the trek. Over-all an amazing experience! And everything promised by Sublime Trails on their website and published itinerary was delivered upon. I highly recommend this company for any of their available tour products, and especially recommend the Luxury Everest Base Camp Trek for those willing to spend a bit more to get the kind of experience that we just had!

Terminally ill man makes a dream come true! - Wow, just WOW!! A very big shout out to Sublime Tours, for helping me achieve a life long dream! I am not a very well man, and when you have many worries about climbing to Everest base camp. Sublime stepped up and helped me achieve this with amazing support, and help along every part of the journey. Sublime tours are not just a normal trekking company, they very professional and have an amazing attention to detail. So I get attacks from the type of cancer I have, so my diet, medication, and wellbeing is very important to keep the attacks at bay. Sublime catered for all my needs, and supported me from the very first phone call. The guide that Ram gave us Ajit (Ozzy) was so impressive, he knew everything we would encounter along the journey. Ajit was fantastic at his job, he explained ever day what we would be doing, so I could prepare myself with the right food and water levels. Ajit became more than just a guide that trip, he is a true gentleman and a great friend. Ram had a request from our party to help achieve an experience, to sleep on the glacier at EBC. I can't explain to you how amazing this was, all thanks to Sublime and there staff this we achieved. I could write all day about my experience, and Sublime Tours but you will have to take my word for it. If you want your dreams to come true, achieve something you never thought you would ever achieve, please book with Ram and Sublime Tours. BIG Love guys, and I will definitely be back to see you all at some point! Thank you! Dave

An unforgettable experience - We had an unforgettable time trekking to Everest Basecamp with Sublime Trails in March 24. Our guide Ajit mastered many logistic difficulties with flights to and from Lukla, (unfortunately not uncommon for the time of year) to ensure we had the best possible time trekking to basecamp. He was very attentive throughout the trek. Our porter Balkumar was fantastic. While it was unfortunate we couldn't sleep at basecamp, we appreciated the emphasis on safety during an unseasonably cold March (it could have been -20°C at basecamp at night, increasing the risk of altitude sickness). The views and trekking were incredible, lots of comradery along the route. Parts of the route were busy and it was necessary to queue/wait a short time at narrower points. Basecamp was busy setting up camps for climbing expeditions.

My Everest Trek with Sublime Trails and Mr. Prakash, a wholesome adventure!! - I was fortunate to trek to the world's highest mountain base camp in January 2024. I knew it'd be cold and freezing. But also, I was excited for my long awaited high-altitude trekking in Nepal. Mr. Ram from Sublime Trails helped me to plan Everest Base Camp Trek in January. We had been planning this trek for a few times before I finally fly to Nepal and started the trek. My guide Mr. Prakash was a humble, supportive, good human, and a fantastic guide. He was very professional and never made me feel that I was insecure. With him, I was very comfortable on the trek. He arranged my accommodations at the best tea houses. And he made me feel very comfortable throughout the trek. Thank you Sublime Trails for making my trek successful. It was an adventure I'd cherished for long. It truly was an amazing experience. Can't wait to do another adventure with this fantastic company.

Right from the outset, Sublime Trails demonstrated professionalism, expertise, and a genuine passion for providing exceptional experiences in the Himalayas. Their team of knowledgeable guides, experienced porters, and dedicated staff ensured that every aspect of our trek was meticulously planned and executed. I truly cherished the opportunity to interact with the local Sherpa community along the way. Our guide Ajit facilitated meaningful cultural exchanges and provided insights into Sherpa traditions, history, and way of life.

Everest BC and Island Peak trek - amazing experience - We were a group of 3 guys doing a trek in the Himalayas. The experience with Sublime Trails and specifically Ram was amazing. He was answering all our questions already the long time before coming and we knew everything is in good hands which is quite important when you travel to Nepal for the first time (permits, equipment, etc.). Ram was able to give us a very experienced guide and it paid off already on the first day when the flights were not flying but we were able to take a helicopter to Lukla instead (for a small fee). Also, he arranged us a sherpa going with us to Island Peak. The Sherpa was very experienced, 7 times on Everest and it was a very good experience as well. In the end, Ram invited us for a dinner and asked us what he can do better which was a nice touch at the end. Overall superb experience!

Everest Base Camp trek with overnight stay at EBC. - At the start of October, myself and two of my family members embarked on the challenge of a lifetime, to trek to Everest Base Camp! Not only did we trek, we also arranged for an overnight camp at EBC, which is an experience not to be missed and a spectacular highlight of this trek with Sublime. Our trek with Sublime was excellent, it was well organised and the communication with Ram before, during and after the trek was outstanding. Everything was catered for, flights, accommodation, food and camping provisions. We had an awesome guide, Ajit, for our adventure. He had a superior knowledge of the region and took expert care of us on the trek, especially during our high altitude days. I can’t commend this trek and Sublime highly enough, we have had the best time and have made so many memories. I’m already looking forward to planning more expeditions with this company.

Awesome Trek - Prakash's support to the ABC 6 days trek team was invaluable. Despite taking almost three times the usual time to reach destinations, he ensured the team's safety and well-being throughout the journey. His timely provision of essential support and advice, such as crampons, oxygen, and arranging helicopter assistance for medical emergencies, demonstrated his proactive approach to handling potential challenges. Prakash's decision to enlist porters during heavy hailstorms, snowfall, and night treks showcased his resourcefulness and commitment to the team's safety. By understanding the team's strengths and weaknesses, he tailored his plans accordingly, ensuring everyone's capabilities were taken into account during the trek. Overall, Prakash's dedication and readiness to adapt to changing conditions made a significant positive impact on the ABC trek team's experience. His support and leadership were critical in navigating challenging terrains and unforeseen circumstances effectively. Sublime Trails could improve their communication and transparency regarding forex issues and additional charges. Here are some suggestions: 1. **Transparent Forex Rates**: Sublime Trails should quote forex rates inclusive of all charges upfront. This transparency helps travelers budget more accurately and avoids unpleasant surprises later on. 2. **Clear Communication on Additional Charges**: Inform customers in advance about any extra charges or fees that may apply. Avoid last-minute surprises by clearly outlining all costs associated with the trip. 3. **Flexible Payment Options**: Allow travelers to pay for additional services like extra books or accommodations via credit card. Providing flexibility in payment methods can enhance customer experience. 4. **Comprehensive Packages**: Offer comprehensive packages that include end-to-end transport and accommodation if requested. Avoid adding additional charges for basic services that are expected as part of the trip. 5. **Survey on Payment Options**: Gather feedback from travelers on which debit cards and banks are commonly used and accepted. This information can help tailor payment processes to better accommodate customers. By implementing these suggestions, Sublime Trails can enhance customer satisfaction and ensure a smoother experience for Indian travelers dealing with forex and payment issues. Clear communication and accommodating customer preferences are key to building trust and loyalty in the travel industry. It's great to had an awesome experience with guide Prakash and the team despite facing challenging conditions like hailstorms, rains, snowfall, avalanches, and night treks. 1. **Exceptional Guidance**: Prakash and his team provided excellent guidance and support throughout the trek, demonstrating their professionalism and expertise even in adverse weather conditions. 2. **Resilience and Adaptability**: Facing hailstorms, rains, snowfall, and avalanches requires resilience and adaptability, and it sounds like Prakash and the team handled these challenges effectively to ensure everyone's safety and comfort. 3. **Night Trek**: Night treks can be more challenging due to limited visibility and increased risks, but it's impressive that Prakash and the team managed this aspect of the trek well, making the overall experience memorable and exciting. 4. **Team Collaboration**: Trekking in such conditions requires strong teamwork and collaboration. It's evident that Prakash and his team worked cohesively to navigate through difficult terrain and weather conditions. 5. **Professionalism**: Despite the adverse conditions, Prakash and the team maintained a high level of professionalism, ensuring that everyone felt safe and supported throughout the journey. Overall, a positive experience with the dedication and competence of Prakash and the team. It's clear that they prioritize safety, comfort, and the overall enjoyment of the trekking experience, even in challenging circumstances.
