Solo trekker - Setting off on the Everest Base Camp trek as a solo trekker was a very exciting and life changing adventure. I was very warmly welcomed by Hari at the Kathmandu airport with a silk scarf. He was friendly and readily took me to the car. We then went to his office where he briefed me the itinerary for EBC and offered a wonderful freshly ground coffee. He then accompanied me to the hotel which was nearby the office in Thamel. The next morning I got wake up call and Hari took me to the domestic airport where my adventure started with an adrenaline pumping plane ride into Lukla before snaking up and down various beautiful villages, suspension bridges and rhododendron forests for few days. The chilled breeze made me feel I'm already on the summit of Everest, but it was just a start. I met Prakash, my trekking guide in the Lukla Airport and we started our hike after taking a delicious meal. Every morning of my entire trekking came with mesmerizing views of the mountains and a great sense of contentment. The buzzing Namche Bazaar and the spiritual Tengboche Monastery of course were the key highlights to uplift your spiritual feelings. Everest Base Camp Trekking was an opportunity to truly connect with oneself and the world around us. There were some challenges included bearing with the high altitudes as well as illnesses associated with them such as mountain sickness but I managed to cope with it and enjoyed the rewarding experience. Prakash kept on checking me and assured me for my health. He was very amiable and cooperative. He was an expert of Himalayas. He explained the importance of prayer flags and mani walls. He introduced me to the local people there. He described the area very well and I feel now I can be a trekking guide too. Jokes apart, I was so glad and excited to see those Himalayas at such close distance and most mind-blowing experience was to enjoy and feel the gigantic Everest in front of you... The arrangements for accommodation and meals were done right on time. At the same time, meeting new Sherpa people with local traditional food items added warmth to it all. The experience to Everest was overwhelming and all the credit and thanks goes to Hari and his wonderful team of Recreation Holidays. Superbly organized Everse Base Camp trek - This is my second trek organized by the Step on Himalayas and its owner Hari, and I cannot recommend it enough. Hari organized our Everest Base Camp Trek at the highest-quality level. He patiently answered all of our questions before and during the trip, and he was able to secure rarely-available plane tickets from Kathmandu airport to Lukla. Our sherpa Ongchhu was outstanding in carefully planning our days and making sure we have everything we need.

Amazing Team! Recommend - Had an incredible trek with Hari, Ongchhu, and Nima. Before the trip, I had a bunch of questions. They answered all of them and even met with me for close to 2 hours to go through a checklist. On the mountain, I felt like I was in great hands. There was so much knowledge of the mountains shared and care taken to make sure I was doing well and could safely make it up to base camp. One of the best trekking - Our group chose Everest Base Camp trek and Gokyo lake with Step on Himalaya and we all assure that it would never have been so pleasing and exciting with anyone else. Hari, the owner of SOH was so conveniently answering all the questions and doubts through email. This made us choose Step on Himalaya promptly for our trek in Nepal. During the entire trekking, whenever we need any kind of help, Hari was so swift with his presence. We has some issues with the flight to Lukla as the domestic airport was closed for days, he immediately made some calls and arranged the helicopter to Lukla within two hours. Yes, we paid for the heli ride by ourselves but it was a worthy option. Thanks to Hari for all the arrangements and being so kind to help us throughout the trek and till the end of our stay in Nepal.

Everest Base Camp Trekking via Chola pass with Gokyo lake - The charming beauty of Everest is so appealing and visiting Gokyo lake was cherry on the top. This experience is one of the best treks of Nepal. Our group was so satisfied and amazed after the Everest trekking that we are looking forward to do others trekking too in Annapurna and Langtang. Everest Base Camp trekking with trip to Gokyo Lake is so much interestingly beautiful and with full adrenaline rush which we always look for. We enjoyed the place, the nature, the authentic food and naive Sherpa people. Personally recommended to take this opportunity.
