Everest Base Camp - 12 Days - Just want to say a huge thank you to the Alpine Ramble team for supporting our journey to Everest Base Camp. It was an amazing experience with so many incredible memories to take away. An even bigger shoutout to our guide Krishna Dhakal for helping us throughout the journey. Will definitely be booking another trek with these guys and would 100% recommend.

Everest Base camp trek - Once in. Lifetime experience - I took the solo trip to Everest Base Camp and it was an amazing experience. I had a guide and Sherpa for myself helping me from Day-1 in Kathmandu to day 12 back to Kathmandu and then local sightseeing and airport drop off. The guide Nir Bahadur Gurang was humble, knowledgeable and kind. He ensured that I was comfortable on my trek , stopping when appropriate and speeding up when necessary. He ventured me to short cuts when needed and also ensured that I am safe while I am hiking. The hike is a once in a lifetime experience and he made sure that was the case. The owner and CEO Dil Bahadur Gurang took personal interest and always ensured things were in order. I would highly recommend Alpine Ramble for any of the hikes they offer as they take care of their customers first. Lastly, the Sherpa provided was kind and ensured that everything was packed and nothing left behind at the end of each day when we left the tea lodge.

Great trek with perfect support - Amazing trek with amazing support! All over the trip I had the feeling that everything was well planned but flexible at the same time. Due to the weather condition we could not fly but go via road to the trek - it took way longer and I am happy that I was not on need to organize it On the trek we had a wonderful guide with Purna- experienced, chill and friendly! Also I got the feeling that the chosen tea houses on the trek were well selected. We had great food over the whole trek and even in higher altitudes I could sleep well by using the rented sleeping bag :) Also during our time in Kathmandu we had great support - I enjoyed the sightseeing day and the friendly and personal contact with all people during that time.

Wholeheartedly recommend Alpine ramble and guide Arpan - Our guide Arpan greeted us at the airport on arrival which made us feel very welcome. During our 14 day Gokyo/EBC trek Arpan and our porter Sonam were with us the entire time, encouraging us to go at our own pace, giving us plenty of time to enjoy the scenery and answering questions we had. Arpan is an excellent and very knowledgeable mountain guide. We learned a lot about life in Nepal and living at high altitudes. Alpine ramble’s connections with the airplane personnel helped secure our flights when the weather upset the flight schedules. Tip: give yourself a few extra days before flying to your home country as the Lukla flight schedule is frequently interrupted by mountain weather. Alpine Ramble did an excellent job accommodating our lodging before/after our trek.

Once in a lifetime experience! - Just came back from Nepal after trekking to Everest Base Camp with Alpine Ramble Treks. I can't recommend them enough! Our guide Sujal picked us up at the airport when we arrived, and was patient enough to wait for a long time, since we were stuck at passport control for well over an hour. That day, Dil (the company owner) warmly welcomed us and went through everything about our trek, giving us our sleeping bags, down jackets and some extra freebies! Our flight to Lukla departed on time (miracle!) and the whole trek went super smoothly. Sujal was absolutely fantastic and very patient with us, offering us words of encouragement all the time and also some Oreos and Coconut biscuits! He really is an amazing guide and Alpine Ramble is lucky to have him! On our way back from Lukla we weren't as lucky, as high season had started and we couldn't fly to Kathmandu. Also the weather rolled in and our flight got cancelled, but we had a flight to catch in Kathmandu. Once again the company was super helpful in getting us a very fairly priced helicopter to Ramechhap that day, and a very bumpy and windy ride to Kathmandu afterwards. They also took us to Kathmandu airport for our departure. Everything was very well organised, and if you're in doubt about booking an Everest Base Camp Trek (or any other trek in Nepal), do it with Alpine Ramble! You won't regret it!

Best trekking company in Nepal! - The best trekking company in Nepal! I spent a month in Nepal and did two separate treks with Alpine Ramble – the 11 day Annapurna Circuit and 8 day Everest Base Camp. I did a fair amount of research on trekking companies before booking and Alpine Ramble more than deserves the reputation it has in review sections like these! First up, you have Dil who is the mastermind behind it all. He was really easy to contact via WhatsApp before I arrived. He was able to plan a trip for me that allowed me to see both Annapurna and Everest regions, with enough time for acclimatisation, rest and unforeseen delays. Speaking of which, my flight to Luckla was delayed one day due to weather, which is very common. But this is when Dil went above and beyond. He organised a helicopter to take me the next day, at no additional charge. For context, the other people on the heli had to pay upwards of $300. Now I’m sure Dil wouldn’t be able to do this for every customer, but it just shows how committed he is to making sure you have the best time. It was only one of the best experiences of my life. Now onto the guides and porters. I had Basanta and Prakash for ACT, and Krishna Dhakar and Balkumar for EBC. They were all fantastic. Whether it was playing ludo/cards together or them cheerleading me through some of the more challenging sections of the trek, I will be forever grateful to these guys for making my experience so special. They were all such wonderful people. They set a nice slow hiking pace and checked my oxygen levels every night to reduce the risk of altitude sickness, but also recognised when I could go a bit further. We stayed in great tea houses throughout, and I’d always seem to get the best room on offer. Maybe that’s Dil working his magic! Last thing. You read and hear a lot about poor working conditions and exploitation in Nepal. It was really important to me that this wasn’t the case for my trip and I can confirm that Alpine Ramble treats all its staff fairly. From limits on how heavy the porters’ bags can be, to the 10% that goes to charity, Alpine Ramble seems very ethical. I was delighted to hear that one of my guide’s (very smart) sons was studying Computer Science in the US. It gave me confidence that my money was being fairly distributed. Thank you so much to everyone at Alpine Ramble, I’ll be back one day!
