Fabulous food tour - I had a wonderful tour with Kabita. She took me to places I would never have known about. She communicated very well and we visited a wide range of food stalls giving an excellent overview of the food of Kathmandu.

Great city food tour - Good tour of the parts of the city where only locals shop and eat. The food was varied and tasted great. The guide was friendly and very knowledgeable as well as highly passionate about good food.

A must do in Kathmandu!! - This is a must do for anyone visiting Kathmandu. You visit truely local eateries that would be extremely difficult to find otherwise. Kabita was an amazing guide. She explained all the food and also provided great information regarding Nepalese culture and history which was very informative. Would highly recommend to get her as your guide. Overall, an incredible experience.

Truly local tour visiting “hole-in-the-wall” spots I never would have found on my own - I had a wonderful time on the food tour with my guide Kabita. The group was small (just me and one other participant) and the food was excellent. It was so fun seeing the city with a local and trying so many foods. We truly went to numerous (7) spots I would not have found on my own. This food tour inspired me to go on food tours in more cities I visit! My one advice for future participants: eat a small breakfast and go for a big walk before the tour- you want to show up hungry!! There is a lot of food to try.

Great food tour! - Great food tour! Kabita showed me a great amount of Nepali food that I would not have tried otherwise. Also she paid for my water bottles! A great experience!

Wonderful tour around Kathmandu - This was a fantastic tour around Kathmandu and a chance to really get to see some hidden gems which we would not have found without our guide Deepak. He was extremely knowledgeable about all the Nepali culture and religion and we spoke easily about so many topics. Such an interesting tour not only about food but also culture and the Nepali people! We would highly recommend!

A must for foodies - What an excellent tour. Not something i would normally do, but was pleasantly surprised. I was shown around the local market by Kabita, stopping at lots of street cafes and vendors. Many were far off the main street. Kabita was knowledgeable about the local foods and the area. Thoroughly enjoyed our time together learning about the area and the different foods. Be aware, go hungry. There is a lot of food to try

Great tour from Kabita - A great opportunity to see the city and try some traditional local food. Kabita gave lots of interesting info and answered all my questions. You definitely shouldn’t have a big breakfast before this tour, there was so much food to try!

Extraordinary foodie and culture experience - My husband and I took this food tour on our first day here at Kathmandu, and it was the best thing we did! Our guide is Deepak, he is absolutely AMAZING! He is so easy going, personable and extremely knowledgeable about Nepalese food, but also the culture and history of the place. It was an extraordinary experience for my husband and I with Deepak. He took us to so many places that we would never been able to find on our own. Altogether 6 places and can’t remember how many different food, all of them are delicious. He explained what they are and how to eat them. These are the places where locals eat, when we told other locals about it, they all told us we went to all the ‘right’ places. The street and alley are a bit tricky around Kathmandu, Deepak helped us navigate around and show us things we see as we walk through the busy areas. Deepak is very knowledgeable about the history, culture and religions. He answered many of our questions. We both feel we not only got acclimated to the food but learned so much from him about Nepal. It felt like we spent several hours with a friend exploring food, culture and history. Everything was well organized and smooth. What a wonderful experience and we are so grateful for Deepak and for this tour. We highly recommend this tour from Yakthung.
