Khopra Danda Trek is a newly introduced trek in Nepal which lies at the Annapurna Region following the Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek. Khopra Danda Trek is at the elevation of 3637m from which we can mesmerize the magnificent views of the Mount Annapurna, Mount Dhaulagiri, Mount Manaslu Mount Mardi, and others.
Kathmandu Airport
Kathmandu Durbar Square - After arriving at the airport, we will explore Kathmandu City for sightseeing.
Drive to Pokhara
Pokhara - We will drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara, a journey of 4-5 hours, and then explore Pokhara City.
Trek to Tikhedhunga
Tikhedhunga - From Pokhara, we will drive to Nayapul, which is a 1.5-hour drive. After organizing our gear and hiring porters, we will trek to Tikhedhunga (1750m), following the path along Modi Khola, which flows downstream from the Annapurna valley.
Trek to Ghorepani
Ghorepani - We will hike up more than 3000 stone steps to Ulleri, which is halfway to Ghorepani. It will take 6 to 7 hours to reach Ghorepani from Tikhedhunga. We will stay overnight in a guesthouse.
Day 05: Hike to Poon Hill (3210m) and Trek to Tadapani
Poon Hill - From Ghorepani, we will hike to the top of Poon Hill, the best spot for viewing the Himalayas of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. You can enjoy the sight of mountains turning golden with the morning sunrise. We will then return to Ghorepani and continue our trek to Tadapani. Passing through Deurali, we will reach Tadapani in 6 to 7 hours and stay overnight in a guesthouse.
Trek from Tadapani (2630m) to Dobato
Tadapani - Today, we will hike from Tadapani to Dobato, covering a distance of 6.5 kilometers. We will walk through several beautiful villages and encounter various flora and fauna along the way. You will still have views of several snow-capped mountains. After 5-6 hours of trekking, we will reach Dobato at an elevation of 3350 meters and stay overnight.
Trek from Dobato (3350m) to Chistibung
Trek from Chistibung (3026m) to Khopra Danda
Khopra Danda Trek - Today, we will have a relatively shorter trek. After three hours of trekking from Chistibung, we will reach Khopra Ridge, where you can enjoy spectacular views of mountains like Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Nilgiri, and many other peaks in the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. We will spend the rest of the day resting in Khopra community lodges and enjoy their excellent hospitality. Stay overnight in Khopra.
Trek from Khopra Ridge to Khayer Lake
Khopra Danda to Tatopani
Tatopani - After lunch, we will descend towards Tatopani, which is at the endpoint of the Annapurna Circuit trek and offers hot water ponds. You can relax in the hot water ponds to soothe your muscles after the trek. Stay overnight in Tatopani.
Drive back to Pokhara
Pokhara - Today, we will drive back to Pokhara by jeep. We will follow the off-road trail to Beni and then the paved road from Beni through Nayapul (the starting point of the Ghorepani Poon Hill trek and Khopra Ridge trek) back to Pokhara. Stay overnight in Pokhara.
Back to Kathmandu
Kathmandu - You can either take a tourist bus and enjoy the countryside views on the way back to Kathmandu or take a flight back to Kathmandu.
Final Departure
Kathmandu - Our airport representative will transport you to Kathmandu International Airport 3 hours before your flight. You will leave Nepal with unforgettable memories and a lifetime of experiences.
