Highlights

Drive from Kathmandu (1400m) to Machha Khola (890m)

Soti Khola - Today marks the departure for the trek, commencing with a drive from Kathmandu city en route to MachhaKhola and you have the option to travel by local bus or Jeep, depending on your preference. If you choose the Jeep, there will be an additional cost. The journey involves traversing the Kathmandu valley toward Dhading Besi, navigating through areas where road construction might pose challenges. Heading northwest, the route leads to Arughat, situated across the Budhi Gandaki River.

Trek from Machha Khola (890m) to Jagat (1340m)

Jagat - We enjoy breakfast and hit the trail, and not long after wander into Khorlabesi, where we can enjoy some coffee from coffee trees grown right here in the village. We press on as the valley narrows, passing through a small settlement Dovan, and continue on to climb to the settlement of Yaruphant, where we will gain some of the most dramatic views of the Budhi Gandaki, and traverse a new walkway hugging the cliffs above the river. We cross one last suspension bridge and spy the handsome check- post village of Jagat, our final destination for the day. Overnight in tea house.

Trek from Jagat (1340m) to Deng (1860m)

Philim - We finish a warm breakfast, and depart Jagat, crossing a lengthy suspension bridge and descending to near river level on an exposed trail. We soon pass Saleri where you can glimpse a traditional very local tea house, and then climb for grand views up the valley toward Siridibas and Philim. We lose all the altitude we gained, climb, and then descend again, before arriving at what is claimed to be the longest suspension bridge in Nepal. We cross and ascend a steep path to Deng our final destination for the day.

Trek from Deng (1860m) to Namrung (2630m)

Namrung - We devour breakfast and begin our walk by ascending a trail just outside of the village. We climb, taking in the wild grasses and narrow gorge of the Budhi Gandaki below. We pass more waterfalls before ascending again to Ekle Bhatti, and then steeply descend all the way to a short suspension bridge crossing the Budhi Gandaki, coming ever closer to Manaslu. After a long final push, we pass through a village archway and spy Deng across the tributary river. A final bridge crossing, and we pull into Namrung, our final destination for the day.

Trek from Namrung (2630m) to Lho (3180m)

Manaslu - We enjoy breakfast and checkout early, soon after crossing a bridge and climbing to BihiPhedi. We proceed to arrive at a section destroyed by a landslide and cross carefully. Pressing on, we pass through Ghap, crossing a bridge and continue on up valley into forests of blue pine, oak, and rhododendron that remain with us. We cross the river two more times before arriving at a relentless uphill climb only to descend into Lho, our final destination for the day.

Trek from Lho (3180m) to Samagaon (3520m)

Samagaun - We wake to Namrung’s beautiful, lush landscape, enjoy breakfast and begin walking. We pass Lihi and then Sho, a village with very old traditional houses and villagers still adorned in their traditional clothes. If Manaslu’s signature summit cloud is not present, as we approach Lho we have full views of Manaslu’s twin peaks, framed by the colorful fields of millet surrounding this large village. We climb through Lho and carry on through beautiful oak forests, past Shyala, and leisurely stroll into Samagaon, an ancient Tibetan trading post and home to a centuries-old Gompa. Samagaon is our final destination for the day.

Acclimatization Day at Samagaon (3520m)

Trek from Samagaon (3520m) to Samdo (3860m)

Trek from Samdo (3860m) to Larkya Phedi (4480m)

Trek from Larkya Phedi (4480m) to Bimthang (3720m) via Larkya La Pass (5106m)

Trek from Bimthang (3720m) to Dharapani (1963m)

Dharapani - Early morning after breakfast from Dharapani we take Jeep or bus to Beishar. which takes 4-5 hours. We spend our last night of the trek at Besishar.

Drive Back to Kathmandu (1400m) or Pokhara (822m) from Dharapani (1963m)

Amazing and unforgettable experience - highly recommed Rabin as a guide! - We did the Tsum Valley and Manaslu Circuit Trek and I can hardly express how amazing this experience has been to us! Adventure Bound did everything to make this trip work out great and with ease: Already in preparation of our journey, Mr Laxman was very kind and helpful, adapting the itinerary to our wishes, preparing the documents needed and answering all the questions we had. We got picked up at the airport in Kathmandu and spent our first and last night in his hotel - nice and cozy rooms and breakfast included. I was especially grateful Adventure Bound lent me some spikes so I didn't have to buy some. I consider myself especially lucky for getting the best guide we could ever wish for: Throughout the whole trip Rabin was an excellent guide! I really appreciate the way he organized our trip, he always found very nice and comfortable rooms for us, the trek was well planned, but still flexible enough according to our needs or to the weather. Rabin was very supportive and always encouraged us to stay positive, even though the trekking was sometimes tough. All the time he made me feel safe and in good hands! For example, the day before the crossing of the Larke Pass there have been some rumours in the camp about bad weather, some people would even return back the same day. Rabin assured us to stay optimistic, as the weather was pretty usual at that time. So we got up early next morning to do the pass and actually we had perfect weather. I'm glad I trusted Rabin's advice, as he is truly a very experienced guide! Special thanks also go out to our porter Monoj, the strongest and fastest porter in the whole Himalayan region. I admire him for carrying much more than we did and still he always was the first to reach the next goal. Also he was very kind and attentive (often checking we didn't forget anything e.g.). Also I have to mention that we simply had so much to laugh together, playing cards and chatting with Rabin and Monoj was so much fun! Thank you Rabin and Monoj, we had a wonderful and unforgettable time! I hope to come back one day!

Had a very good experience, highly recommended! - The reception, pick-up from the airport and transfer to the start of our trekking tour was great, every question was answered and every special request was made possible. The hike was just as beautiful and breathtaking as the landscape and the people. We have rarely experienced so many impressions and new experiences at once. Our guide Rabin was always in a good mood and supported and helped us very well when we had difficulties with the altitude or the paths - he is also a good photographer :) We were very satisfied with the overall support and flexible organization of the agency, as well as the trek, and will definitely come back to Nepal another time to try out a new trek. Clear recommendation from both of us!

Manaslu Circuit Trek - Just completed the Manaslu circuit trek! Adventure Bound we’re so accomodating towards us, we had breakfast in their hotel, they leant my partner and I both sleeping bags for the trip and a puffer jacket for me so I didn’t have to purchase one. Our guide Santosh was very informative, attentive and friendly. He gave us so much informations and options along the way and made the trip suited for us. I also paid for a porter for my bag and Sanu was so great, such good vibes and energy he was worth every penny. The highest I have ever been is Manaslu! I’m relaxing in Kathmandu now but super keen to trek again with Adventure bound! Thanks! Bronte and Ben

Fantastic family experience on the Manaslu Circuit with our guide Raman - this was my second time trekking in Nepal with Adventure Bound. This time I brought my parents and we’ve had a wonderful experience trekking the Manaslu Circuit in May. Communication was clear and easy from the beginning, everything was perfectly organized and we couldn’t be more thankful for our team. Our wonderful guide Raman was very experienced, knowledgeable, funny and empathic, and made sure that we felt comfortable and safe at any time, especially also when struggling with some sickness during the trek. With his support and also the support of our always friendly and reliable porters Ganesh and Amrit, we could finish the trek and had the best experience as a family. I would certainly come back and do more trekking with Adventure Bound and the whole team!

Look no further, book your trek with Adventure Bound! - From the moment I arrived in Nepal to the time I was dropped at the airport to go home, I had a team of friendly, responsive, & professional Nepali friends who were there to assist in any way they could. These were the Adventure Bound team. We chose Adventure Bound based on a recommendation from a friend and we couldn't have been happier with the experience. I will confidently recommend this company to friends in future. On the trek we really enjoyed the company of our guide Santosh. From start to finish, Santosh seemed to be the most switched-on and attentive person on the trails, in the guest-houses, and on the buses. This allowed us to relax and enjoy the adventure knowing that we were in experienced and capable hands. Very quickly we considered Santosh a good friend and brother and we spent the evenings laughing, drinking tea, and playing Dumbal. On the trek you will experience and pass through an incredible range of landscapes, ecosystems, cultures, and villages. You will be blown away by the tenacity and positive attitudes of mostly self-sufficient Nepali people living in very remote locations surrounded by extreme terrain. The experience was eye opening, challenging at times, but always rewarding. I can't recommend Adventure Bound enough. When I inevitably decide to visit Nepal again in future, Laxman, Santosh, & the Adventure Bound team will be the first ones to know.. Thank-you!
