Highlights
  • Swayambhunath - Swayambhunath Stupa aka “The Monkey Temple,” is located on the top of Kathmandu. It has 365 stairs to be actual that contains you to the top for the exceptional view of the city itself. You can locate many small shrines and souvenir shops on the way to top with monkeys roaming around freely. You are free to take pix on the road, and some monkeys would possibly pose for a photo too. As the top, you will see a sizeable gold-plated thunderbolt (Vajra). It is one of the intriguing monuments there. Also, right next to it is the large white dome with a cubical top. It is the Swayambhunath stupa that did now not fall even` though many other temples around the area crumbled after the earthquake of 2015. You will also see many prayers wheels of special sizes nearly in every section around the Swayambhunath.

Hence, at Himalayan Advisor, we’ve pioneered a one-day tour covering all seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites–the first of its kind in Nepal.

The tour spans from 7 am to 7 pm, with private car transportation for expeditious transitions between sites. The journey encompasses not only the landmarks in and around Kathmandu but also features the celebrated city of Bhaktapur and the less frequented yet widely revered Changu Narayan.

Amazing Cultural Experience with a great company!! - This tour was a win from start to finish! The company contacted be the night prior to confirm the pick up time and location, and let me know who my guide would be. Kabita arrived right on time. The tour was absolutely amazing and Kabita really made the trip wonderful by taking the time to explain so much about each site, information that would have been completely missed had I tried to see all of the sites on my own. I feel so fortunate to have been able to see and learn so much about Nepal, Kathmandu, Hindu and Buddhism in such a short time. Kabita was also helpful in helping me find and bargain for souvenirs. The car was nice, new, clean and cool, and the driver was great, even the coffe and lunch break locations were very nice! This was a wonderful, jam packed tour, and a great experience. I definitely recommend this tour and Himalayan Advisor, Kathmandu!

Fabulous tour with excellent guide - Shanti was an excellent guide. Well organised, efficient, thoughtful, knowledgeable, able to answer all my questions on history of Nepal and the unesco sites, kind, and flexible. The tour was excellent; I really enjoyed it, saw some amazing stupa, temples and palaces, and have a better understanding of Nepal. Highly recommend visiting Kathmandu and taking this tour. I really Appreciated the chance of regular washroom and rest breaks as it’s a long day.

Comprehensive tour of Kathmandu - We spent an amazing day with our guide Ananta on this comprehensive tour of the key historically significant sites in Kathmandu. We visited several temples, royal squares, and the crematorium. Ananta carefully explained each site - including cultural, historical, and religious significance.

Exceptional UNESCO Heritage tour with Shanti, the guide extraordinaire - I was fortunate to have Shanti as my guide for the full-day UNESCO Seven World Heritage Site Tour. Shanti knew so much about each site, as well as points of interest along the drive to each location. Prior to the tour, she reached out to me to confirm the pickup location and time, as well as what to make sure to bring. Shanti arrived on time, and then we spent the next nine hours touring so many sites and seeing one-of-a-kind Temples and historical locations. One thing I did appreciate, as this is my first time in Nepal, was that she helped me know where it was appropriate to take photos, where it was not, what spaces I could enter, and which ones I could only look at from the door. The entire experience was great, and I have nothing but positive things to say about her, as well as our driver. Also, great suggestion on where we stopped for lunch.

Impressive day and tour! - I had a great, rewarding and also tiring day. Kabita picked me up at 700 AM and showed me the seven UNESO heritage sites. She was eloquent, friendly and knew her way around. One of the most impressive sites was the Pashupatinath temple, where people were cremated. The trip went by a convenient car and excellent driver. Highly recommended!

Must do in Nepal!! - This was an amazing tour! We learned so much from our tour guide, Shanti, while experiencing the rich culture in Kathmandu. If you are going between this tour with a cheaper one, you MUST do this one. Each temple and square had unique characteristics that Shanti was able to explain. She answered most of our questions before we could ask them! We got to see a Rice Ceremony for a baby and an 84th birthday celebration just while eating lunch. We did this tour on the first day of our trip to Nepal and so glad we did! We were very interested in buying a Thangka painting and Shanti took us to an art school were you can watch them work and buy the master or students artwork. They even gave us the stories for each painting.

excellent, knowledgeable guide, who has a true academic understanding about the history of Nepal - I did the tour with Sarita as my guide and she did a great job taking me around all the important temples in the greater Kathmandu area. Sarita was very informative and clearly explained to me all the stories of the people who lived in the kathmandu valley starting from 4th century and onwards
