Galle Fort - Stop 2. Visit the Galle Dutch Fort and explore the bustling city. Located in the Bay of Galle on Sri Lanka’s southwest coast, the fort was initially built by the Portuguese in 1588 and extensively fortified by the Dutch from 1649 onwards. It is a historical, archaeological, and architectural heritage site that has maintained its polished appearance for over 423 years, thanks to extensive reconstruction by the Archaeological Department of Sri Lanka.

Galle Fort Lighthouse - Stop 3. A well-known tourist attraction in Galle, the Lighthouse dates back to 1848 (the current structure was rebuilt in 1939). This UNESCO World Heritage site stands on the walls of the ancient Galle Fort.

Dutch Reformed Church - Stop 4. Originally built in 1640, the current building dates from 1752. Its floor is paved with gravestones from Dutch cemeteries, and other impressive features include the organ and a grand pulpit made from calamander wood, topped by a hexagonal canopy.

Kosgoda Turtle Care - Stop 5. A turtle hatchery that educates visitors about different kinds of turtles, the injuries and risks they face in the oceans, and how the sanctuary works to protect them.
