Highlights

Hanalei Bay - Slip into Hanalei River from our own private dock. We will head down stream sharing history of the Hanalei river & getting comfortable in our kayaks before heading out into Hanalei Bay where we spend the majority of our time. There we check out our Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles (Honu) before heading over to the beach where we will land our kayaks and take everyone out snorkeling (45 mins). Guides will share modern day reef ecology and point out what to look for while snorkeling. After snorkeling we provide a full deli style lunch, sit, hang out, & answer any questions you may have about our island. Our guides are born and raised here and take pride in sharing their island knowledge.
This tour has an 8am check in time and runs from 8:30am-1pm. We will fit you for snorkel gear (you are welcome to bring your own full set of gear or a full set will be provided(no mix & match of gear). Full face masks not permitted on tour.

We are a family from Hawaii, deeply invested in imparting the profound heritage and traditions of Hanalei to you. Join us on our exclusive river-ocean combo tour, which starts from our private pier and leads you to an undiscovered beach. Discover the art of snorkeling in the pristine blue waters of the Pacific, encircled by an array of sea creatures. Alternatively, you can partake in interesting conversations, unwind on the beach or enjoy a meal or some snacks. This tour is ideal for families with children aged 5 and above.
- Must be at least 5 years of age to participate
- Free & ample public parking available
- 1:1 adult to child ratio required for children under 12
- Participants are welcome to use their personal snorkel gear with the exception of full face snorkel masks. Full Face Snorkel Masks are not permitted on tour. All participants are required to use a traditional 2 piece snorkel and mask set.
- Pregnant travelers 30 months or less are welcome to participate
- All participants must be in good physical health, can paddle on their own, & get in/out of kayak on their own without assistance

I loved the entire trip!... - I loved the entire trip! A delicious
Morning smoothie to start. Then off to the kayak and snorkel. The art of Kayaking was taught to us and was helpful and informative. It was a family trip with my 9 year old and the Hanalei Beach was great for snorkeling, shallow waters with several camera ready view. We saw lots of fish and a baby octopus which we were able to hold and admire. Lunch was basic but delicious with our tour guide playing the ukulele and sometimes making up his own words for songs.
I would totally recommend this excursion for the family with small children or if you just want a laid back snorkel and kayak with picturesque views.

Great snorkeling - Good trip. It was very windy and my teenage daughter wasn’t much help but the paddle out was worth the effort. The snorkeling area was fantastic. A couple of sea turtles, couple of octopus and loads of fish. The lunch provided was nice as well. Guides were great. They left no one behind. If you haven’t kayaked in the sea before note that it is a lot more effort than kayaking on a calm river.

Great day!! - Beautiful day! Kolo and Gabe were very knowledgeable and helpful with the kayaking and snorkeling. Gabe found a small octopus and we got to hold it. That was incredible!

So many incredible experiences wrapped up in one adventure! - Our tour guides, Kolo & Gabe, were incredible. They made the adventure fun, educational, and exciting. They created a lifetime memory for us. Lunch was fabulous and made the adventure stress free. 10/10 recommend!!

Highly recommend - 5 stars! Highly recommend! Gabe & Kolo were great guides. We checked in at 8 AM and then had a quick tutorial on kayaking. We kayak half a mile and then stopped and had a great history lesson about Hawaiian geography and culture. Then we can kayaked the rest of the way out to Hanalei Bay where we stored our kayaks on the beach and then snorkeled for about 40 minutes. We saw tons of different fish and several sea turtles. Then we had a great turkey sandwich and chips lunch followed by fresh papaya and macadamia & chocolate chip cookies. Great for families. My kids (16, 13, 9) loved it. Definitely recommend!

Fun with great guides - Our entire family of 6 did the kayak and snorkeling tour. Kolo and Gabe were great. They showed us the necessary basics of kayaking. Interesting histories were told by Kolo while we were kayaking. When we got to the snorkeling area, Gabe gave us some fun facts about some of the fish and possible turtles we'd be seeing. They even swam out with us and took us to the hot spots. After snorkeling, they gave us lunch and Kolo casually pulled out his Ukeleli and played some somethung for us. Both he and Gabe were wonderful hosts. I would highly recommend this tour.

Awesome & memorable experience at Hanalei Bay AM Kayak and Snorkel Tour - This was such a great tour! We were new to Kauai and I was looking for a fun tour for me and my husband and this one was perfect. We had Kolo as our guide and he was just fantastic. It is a great tour down the river to a beautiful beach for snorkeling. Kolo made it very special by his knowledge of the area and also performing a few songs on his Ukulele while we ate lunch on the beach. Such a lovely and unique experience. They are very organized and make everything pretty easy for tourists. I would definitely recommend this tour.

The best part of our trip! - I wasn’t sure that we would enjoy all the elements of the trip!! We did! It was absolutely the highlight of our all our visits. This our 10th. The guides were engaging and helpful. The scenery amazing. I would recommend it to anyone!!
