Highlights
- Wailua Falls - We will take a scenic drive on our way to the beautiful set of twin falls where in ancient times man jumped off of the top to proof their bravery. Also the iconic opening scene of the famous TV show “Fantasy Island”
- Kukui Grove - It is time to delve into Hawaii’s culinary culture. We will visit Kauai Bakery for a mid-morning snack. You will get to try our legendary malasadas, AKA Portuguese donuts filled with various flavors. Other pastries and coffee will be available.
- Waimea Canyon State Park - Waimea Canyon State Park is one of Kauai’s gems, known as the mini Grand Canyon of the Pacific. Here we will make 3 stops, including the main lookout at 3400 feet elevation. You will see the Canyon from various angles and also the Forbidden island of Niihau from afar. Many stories will be shared and fabulous pictures taken.

- Waimea Plantation Cottages - Around 12:00 pm we will head to the beautiful grounds of the Waimea Plantation Cottages built in the early 1900’s during the sugar plantation days. Overlooking at the blue Pacific Ocean and many tropical trees, we will enjoy delicious lunch at famous Chicken in a Barrel. Have a beer while you are at it! they have a beer wall with over 10 selections or a cocktail; after all you are not driving. We will take a leisure stroll through the property to visit Waimea Bay, one of our few black sand beaches, and Captain Cook’s first landing place in Hawaii.
- Spouting Horn - A drive through the beautiful tunnel of trees will lead us to our first stop at the famous Spouting Horn, an extinct lava tube that became a water geyser. Marvel at the power of nature as the waves crash on the shore and water rushes through the tube. Your guide will share the legend of the site, sound effects and all.

The Kauai Highlights is a small group tour lead by a local family business. Is the perfect tour for a shore excursion, and a great bang for your buck.
Shared tours available only on Thursdays, private tours available Mon-Sat.
We will take you on a journey to enjoy the highlights of Kauai.
Marvel at the power of nature as we share with you legends, history, culture and the geology of our islands. A day filled with many leisure stops, and opportunities to eat and shop local.
Included on this tour are several stops at the famous Waimea Canyon, Wailua Falls, the Spouting Horn, and the black sand beach where Captain Cook first landed in Hawaii.
Take the day off from driving and let us show you Kauai through local eyes.
- Provide us with a good phone number when booking. We will be contacting you the day before the tour via text with tour details and/or any changes. Acknowledge our text message when you get it.
- Wear comfortable clothing, good walking shoes, hat or cap and sunglasses.
- If you weigh 300 lbs and up please contact us so we can make arrangements to give you an extra seat. There will be an additional fee for this.
- No refunds pass the 24 hours prior to the start of the tour.
- In consideration for on time guests and our after hours duties we are unable to wait for late arrivals.
- We can drop off guest at the cruise port at 3:30pm, and the airport.

Kauai Soul is da best - Our guide, Coco Maria exhibited knowledge of the island and a sense of humor that made for a wonderfully enjoyable experience. It was great to
feel safe on a tour bus on winding roads while seeing the sights. The Waimea Canyon was breathtaking and the waterfalls amazing. Coco took us to spots that locals know and love for the great food, coffee and treats. Strongly recommended!

A great tour to do again! Kauai as you should see it! - A truly wonderful experience! Coco Maria was great, providing current info about the island as well as historic and geological info, making an educational trip as well as awesome sight seeing. I'll do the tour again when I return, and I highly recommend a tour with Coco to everyone visiting this island paradise. She points out the little things one might miss.

Fun packed day touring south/west Kauai - What a great day with Coco - very fun, personable, authentic, and knowledgeable! Had a nice small group (just 3 of us) and Coco was a fantastic guide through all of it. She had lots of great recos for the rest of the my trip, and plenty of stops for great photo ops along the tour. Highly recommended! Thanks, Coco!

Personal, Patient & Flexible - This was a great introduction to the island of Kauai that a friend and I took at the beginning of my vacation. The tour guide was a local who could provide history, insights and tips beyond the typical tour book! He was patient and flexible in adjusting to our interests and needs. For example, we like buying local for souvenirs. He found a shop with handmade jewelry for my friend and a studio with art prints for me. It was a great experience!

Coco Maria is Ohana! - Coco Maria is Ohana! She is so knowledgeable and provided such an engaging tour of Kauai. You could tell there was a lot of thought and time put into crafting such an amazing excursion.
Coco gave us great recommendations for food and attractions. She was also our good luck charm; between the sea turtle, monk seal, a beautiful sunny day, and yummy food, so many memories were captured and made.
Thank you, Coco, for giving us another great day on the beautiful island of Kauai. We highly recommend Coco as your personal tour guide. Get ready to have an amazing time!

Full day of fun! - Our tour guide, “Coco” was awesome and the experience felt more like it was led by a family member instead of a tour guide. Coco was very knowledgeable and personable, which made for a wonderful and fun filled day on the island. I highly recommend this full day excursion!🤙🏾

COCO MARIA is soooo much FUN! - Communicating with Coco was so easy! Instructions were clear and direct. The folks who shared the tour with us were lively and quick-witted... It's our impression that a FUN time was had by ALL!
Coco has lived on Kauai for 25 years. The TOUR covered great sites of interest, such as the Tree Tunnel, Spouting Horn, and Waimea Canyon. Coco was quite knowledgeable about the area's history, and we loved her stories associated with the folklore of Kauai.
My favorite stop was Hanapepe Town. The "step-back-in-time" was a refreshing reminder of simpler, more friendly days and customs. We also enjoyed our last stop at the Kauai Coffee Plantation. Mmmmmm... the smell and taste of freshly roasted coffee... YUMMY!!
Thanks, Coco, for a wonderful, interesting, laugh-filled day. "Uncle" John was a HOOT! We hope to see you again...

Great fun tour for young and old - We did the Mountain Tubing through canals and tunnels and had such a good time. Staff was great, equipment of tube, helmet, head light, and gloves was quality and at times it was calm lazy River floating but most of time it was exciting and so much fun. They take you to backcountry in open air vehicles, you tube to the exit point where you are picked up and taken to picnic area where they have food, water, and comfort facilities for you. Then they take you back to town. Totally recommend this tour!
