Leave Kigali as early as 05h00 and drive for an estimated 3.5 hours to reach Akagera National Park by 08h30. With our local and friendly tour guide, the transport is assured with a choice 4x4 car with WIFI onboard to keep you connected with your loved ones and the world (Some spots in the park do not have connectivity). Spend the entire day through the park to depart back to Kigali late afternoon. Akagera National Park has a diversity of wildlife including buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, zebras, impalas and many others. After a long time being extinct, the black rhinos and lions have recently been restocked. Their sighting is always not guaranteed due to their small number and the hiding character of the black rhino. Enjoy the game drive viewing the natural habitat of different animals, birds and enjoying the view of different lakes and landscape.

Amazing experience of a lifetime! - I was not sure what to expect for this tour, but the trip exceeded my expectations. My guide Ben was amazing. He was able to tell me a lot about the history of Rwanda along the way, as well as the various areas that we drove through. He was also very knowledgable about the Park- its history, its animals, its ecosystem, and more! I learned a lot, and had a very good time. I highly recommend this tour!

Elephants, Hippos, and Crocodiles - John Paul was an excellent guide and the boat ride was well worth the extra money as we saw a lot of wildlife we might not have seen otherwise. Crocodiles and hippos, eagles and snake birds, and a couple of elephants at the edge of the water who had come to drink.

Trip of a lifetime! - I had an amazing time with my guide, Ben. He was a fantastic companion -- highly knowledgeable and also amazing at finding animals. We saw lions, zebras, giraffes, warthogs, buffaloes, rhinos, baboons, and even an elephant, plus an amazing variety of birds. Highly recommended!

Excellent tour! - Jean Paul was an excellent guide! He did his best to find as many animals as possible. We saw baboons, giraffe, zebra, hippo, lion, gazelle, topi, rhinos, and more! This tour isn’t for those with motion sickness as the drive there, in the park, and after are full of windy bumpy roads.

Beautiful, informative and exciting - I had some time left after my business trip, so I decided to go on a very spontaneous trip to the Akagera park with Jean-Paul, and it was a perfect, very colourful and exciting experience! Jean-Paul knows everything about the nature and animals and is a great guide through villages and the area around the park. I can really recommend this trip and a visit to the great country of Rwanda!

Day trip from Kigali - It was really fun, we saw so much. Our tour guide was very kind and was going out of his way to show us as many animals as he could. On time to pick us up and drop us off. Perfect day trip for us.

Great Day in Akagera - During this One Day trip in Akagera, I had the opportunity to discover some of the famous « big five ». The expérience was excellent, the Park is gorgeous and my driver and guide: JP did its best to find the animals (and it works, especially when he didn’t give up to find the elephants :))
